In this video I show you how to remove the lower grill on the bumper of your VW Polo. hope you all enjoy :)

For anyone that is watching this and has the fog lights, please use the small tool that looks like a hook, it will be in the tool kit with the spare Tyre, use the hook in the small hole in the fog light cover and pull it out with that, its a 1000x easier to take the lower part off that way.

Thank you for the video! Luckily mine was broken, and I was only replacing it with a new one. So I just had to break the rest of it to remove and install the new lower grille. Your video was helpful, because I could see where to pry to break the tabs.

Thanks for the precise instructions. I did this today, because I wanted to install a replacement grille with the chrome trim on the bottom. What an awful job. I broke all the top clips on the old part, struggled to get one of the outermost lower bottom clips fixed, and finally had to use a hammer to put the side plastic piece back in its place. I dearly hope I won't need to do this again. I'd definitely better stick to tinkering with electronics.

hi mate, i was thinking of spraying my lower grille ( exact same one as yours ) and wanted to ask if you know what the large filter-like thing is behind the middle main grille part? I'm concerned its maybe the air intake and if I spray it then it could be damaged ( using plastidip plastic paint ) cheers

I believe that is the ac condenser and at the very bottom the intercooler

Best advice I've got is to literally put it back but in reverse. For example, the side pieces kind of slide out when you are pulling it out so when you go to put it back in slide it into the bumper so it's in place then press on the other side so it clips in. For the middle piece, put the top part in first and line it up then press on all the places where it should clip in to secure it again. Sorry if this isn't the best advice but it's all I've got, hope it helps 😁
