Hi Dmitrii, thanks for the great video! There is one point that I'm personally dealing with now finalising the contract, it seems almost all landlords request to be paid in USD, but is it standard to only have USD in the contract or also GEL equivalent?
@dpashutskii
@dpashutskii 2 жыл бұрын
@@Freddymars I think the standard is to only have USD in the contract. Lari wasn't stable for years so they're using USD for big purchases and rent. Right now actually Lari is getting stronger towards dollars so it's better for you to have USD price :)

I really liked this video Dimitrii. You gave a good overview and some nice points to orient yourself as a beginner. I am wondering, is the internet in Jikia house stable enough to do livestreams and video calls? Do you share the internet with the people in the housing via wlan or do have access to your own router? Keep doing what you do, its inspirational and informative. Thumbs up.
@dpashutskii

Hey! Thank you for watching and kind words :) Internet in Jikia is really stable and good. Although, we had a bad router in the beginning and I asked our landlord to replace it and he did. It was perfect since. No disconnects, no high ping. I often have video calls via Zoom or Slack and don't have any issues. I don't do livestreams but I'm sure it should be fine. I don't share my Internet connection with anyone. And just in case I changed Wi-Fi password 😅

hi there, thanks for your great content and thorough explanation! what do the agency and landlord ask to rent the apartment? proof of income? We didn't provide anything, just a deposit of 1 or 2 month. Yeah, in Europe it's completely different, same here in the Netherlands, you have to provide a bunch of documents and income proof of 3x the rent price. In Georgia, it was nothing.

Thanks for the video, very informative! Is it difficult to find an apartment to rent in Tbilisi, in those areas (Vake, Vera...), or not? Not sure if there is enough offer to rent an apartment there and if negotiating the price is possible. Interested in moving to Tbilisi next year :)

Hello Dmitri, I've just found your channel and suscribed because this information is very useful. I'm planning to go to Georgia in September, and I'm going to look for apartments in the website you recommended, because on Airbnb the prices are crazy high. By the way, do you have the contact for the aparment you rented? I have the same budget for accomodation, so it would be very good to rent an apartment that someone can say that is 100% real. Thank you in advance and greetings from Morocco!

Does Tbilisi have good gyms for working out, lifting weights? And are some of the Georgian women beautiful or attractive!? In Tbilisi is there enough to see and do without getting bored?
@dpashutskii
@dpashutskii 2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there are plenty of gyms here. I personally don't go to gyms but I know many expats who don't have a problem with choice. Haha, the question about beautiful women is a bit subjective, isn't it? I think all women are beautiful :) I would say it's quite vibrant city: many bars, nightclubs, restaurants etc. For sure, it's not as it was before because of COVID but still plenty of places. Besides, you have the whole country with mountains and amazing nature. I can't imagine how to get bored in here.

Hi there, I've been currently living in Georgia by staying in Airbnb however I want to stay longer now and find a place to rent in Tbilisi. Vake is a concret disaster! Perhaps the apartments here are modern, and sometimes luxurious, but the so-called urban "developing" destroyed the once beautiful quarter, which was previously also the area of the so-called "Soviet intellectual class". Today it's a real mess, especially for car owners that always stuck in traffick. Vera is much better, but "Sololaki" and "Mtatsminda" are athe parts of Tbilisi, where you can live and discover the real Tbilisi. In short, everything that happens to the west after the Philharmonic Concert Hall is always traffic, and not authentic Tbilisi!
