Took a little bit longer than you, because I popped the top clamp all the way off and went searching for it. Then found something (my 6' ladder) to prop the hatch up. But I still got it done in less than 10 minutes

So you only replace the right side when you have a power lift?

Yes. I'm not sure if it was only this generation but only the right (passenger side) is powered

@@LifeAsDane When I was looking on Amazon the one that was a match for my car was the single for the right side only. Thanks. I was confused because the one on the left seemed to have more of the "gunk" around the top.

No Problem. I'm actually about to purchase this product again it seems. Recently the door is starting to almost slam shut in the final couple inches of lowering. Not that upset as it's a cheap part and easy DIY

The headlight bulb you have to go under the wheelwale. There's a circular piece you unscrew to get to it

Yes. The Passenger side is the power side!

Is this not the same for a 2016 equinox?

I believe so. I know the physical design changed slightly for 2016 models but the engine remained the same. I'd just verify the correct part number for your model.

Wait! So the other Side is the power one?! 😩 that’s the one that’s leaking on mine. When I try opening it it starts to open then closes. Second try normally opens it but it’s annoying 😩
