This jigsaw only had a piece of silicon jammed inside the blade holder, stopping the blade from locking in.
But any other part that fails inside can also be replaced. The whole tool holder can also be replaced as a single piece.

My tool holder fell to bits, for some reason. It's all back together, cleaned inside and working fine. I found getting the spring in, and back together, very difficult. Thanks for the video :)

Thank you sooooooo much! My good Makita 4351fct has been sitting on the shelf for years. I and everyone else never got the broken blade out. Trying everything other than taking it apart. A mecanic managed to press it to one side, so that I at least could use a thinner blade beside it. But after some time another blade broke and got stuck. I gave up. I would never have dared to take it apart and think I could put it back together again, but as your video clearly shows every little detail it was worth a try. Didn't take me 12.41 minutes like you, but rather 2 hours and 40 minutes :) But worth it every second. Greetings from Denmark. PS Please do NEVER remove this clip, as I might need it again some time :)

Thanks for the video. I need to replace my toolholder and this will help me hugely, but was unsure what grease you used. As I'm pretty sure Goo Goo isn't a brand/grease and is just an affectionate name for it lol.

My blade is sitting slightly twisted, only a few degrees I suppose, is it likely to be a bit of something stuck in it or something possibly worse. I don't fancy stripping it and trying to get it all back together and working 😂👍 Thanks for the video 👍👍👍

what about replacing the bottom shaft guide seal at the bottom as the shafts moves up an downwards if you don't it will move left an right like a bad tooth its more half a job dune
