great video and many thanks. I am vacationing at a friend's place in Crewe, and the door switch broke when he picked us up at the airport :) We will order the replacement plastic switch piece and snap it in, thanks to your detailed video and investigation. I took it all apart and got it back together enough to operate the driver's broken switch as long as you oppose it on the bottom with your thumb.

Wow. Thanks for getting all the way in to that box. I'd wind up driving my mb without the door panel until I could get the replacements! Thanks for doing the work. Cheers from Texas!

What is the part number for that cluster? I can only find LHD switches.

Wouldn't it be better to epoxy in the driver side switch with a small screw to create the lip?.

Same thing happen to me , my window was making a noise as if there was dirt or something in the motor, then it just stopped mid way and window won’t go up or down, if I push little with my hand it goes up, my button feels stuffed idk what it is, it’s the driver side window , c230, I hope it’s not the motor, :(

New units are available on ebay for about $17, and the entire door panel only needs to be swung out from the bottom to replace. Just replaced mine in about 45 minutes. Not necessary to completely remove the door panel.

so not everyone lives in a country where they can buy from Ebay. Here we pay customs on imported items and its a mission to get the items from Ebay. Not all sellers deliver to African countries. But i get your point.
