This time Pak Ngoh will show you how to repair the pump used in the PerfectCare Aqua steam iron. Existing pumps are repaired and no need to replace a new one.

Terima kasih p.ngah atas perkongsian ilmu mcgiver. Updated.... Dh cuba guna led doid... X berkesan...led jadi pecah... Tukar kpd ball bearing saiz yg boleh muat dlm paip plastik....tapi x tembus lubang shaft... Alhamdulillah...menjadi.... Pump berfungsi dengan cemerlang.

Thank you very much, Dear Sir! You just prevented my wife in spending of 250 EUR on a new steam iron. 😀I know that I saw very similar silicone valve in some cheap product. But I can't remember where I saw it. If I do remember, I'll post it here.

Cool idea to use LED!!! Nice thinking out of box. Would never thought about it. Saved me a lot of time of making a spare part out of resin.

This pump failure looks like planned obsolence by the manufacturer. Why make the valve in such flimsy plastic?

Thanks and well done for the idea to use the LED. I also learnt about the new type of pump! All because my own GC9630 died. So I had to dismantle. Philips have the parts so I ordered the pump. Didn't try to repair it though. But you are great.

Salam Pak Ngah, terbaik dan terima kasih kongsi ilmu. Saya pun duk buat baiki philip steam iron kat Ipoh. Betul lah kata Pak Ngah kalau utk customer, kita tukar pump baru je. Cuma bagus dah tahu cara repair ni kalau satu hari spare part susah nak dapat ke, sekurang2nya ada jalan nak bagi hidup balik pump tu.

Hi Pak Ngah, can I ask what was the minimum voltage needed to make the pump function by using the variable voltage ? I have a step down isolated transformer which is 50V AC 50Hz, do you think it could be useful for check the pump as a safety measure? Thanks

Why the spring position is different. Before fixing, it was on the input side(large tube of piston) of the pump, but when you fix it, you put it on the output side(small tube of piston)

I use the LED only because of its shape and not other features. You can see the shape in this video. Round shaped LEDs like this are common and can be found at any electronic parts store. Use a 3mm diameter LED, the small one.
