You could also stitch a peace of cloth to the top and loop it around the metal then stitched the bottom part making it a cloth extension. It will for sure be a stranger hold.

Twilly to rescue! I wrapped a twilly around the buckle and tied a nice bow to cover my amature repair, so the bag looks nicer and nobody can see the unprofessional repair work. I think a light weight bag charm will do the same job.

I just bought this bag today. I actually wanted the shoulder strap so I can modify it to wear with my speedy 😂. I will diy the bag and stain the leather black and diy the sides using some of those brass screws through the remaining leather sides and put a black handbag strap on it. I will probably give the bag to my son as a lunch bag for work 😊
