I followed your instructions and it took ages to repair (went to bed after waiting over 2 hours) When I checked it in the morning, the message was: An error occurred while repairing your device. Please try again. If the problem persists, please contact Sony support. I tried a couple more times and the same error occurred. Is the repair done with the sim card in?(mine was). Does the internet connection on the phone have to be active? (or is the repair done exclusively from the downloaded Xperia Companion software on my computer?) My phone is only a few months old, bought on eBay from Hong Kong, the back cover cracked while my partner was putting on the soft case to protect it, the SD card keeps ejecting (had to wrap clear tape around it so it stays wedged in place) and now, the screen goes black as soon as one answers the phone and one sometimes doesn't even hear the caller, or it randomly reboots or turns off then refuses to turn on unless it is plugged in, though the battery is still almost full. Frankly, I appreciate your help but think the phone is a piece of sh..t.

On the blackberry if you late update the software or use the old version of software. the program it will ask to delete all data. No repair software. It is very harmful whether we know when it will be broken?

I ran the Xperia Companion software like you showed in the video and it said it succeeded. But it is still in a constant boot loop after the repair. It won't charge like this either and holding the power button and volume up doesn't force it to power off. I also tried the reset button and holding power and volume down. I have an Xperia Z3v. Any ideas?

I have record screen error message after recording 3 or 10 sec or atleast under 1min and facebook app usually shows offline even if i were connected to wifi or using mobdata and when i turn the phone on, there is no boot up sound. What should ido?

What do you do if it says your device needs unlocking?

I also tried this but I had to install the flash drivers before the program would recognize my phone in repair mode. (the phone goes into repair mode when you connect it with the power off while holding the volume down key) Without the flash drivers the computer will only recognize the phone as a USB mass storage device and will not repair it. To install the drivers I connected the phone in repair mode without Xperia companion open. The computer then installed the drivers and recognized the flash memory. This was a complicated repair for me and I hope this comment helps someone not have to spend as much time making this same repair.

I've been stuck on the "Xperia software repair" be bar for about 45min! The bar is full and the blue diagonal lines are moving but I still have instructions not to disconnect my phone. And I can't select anything. My phone seems to be turned off too but it was on when I started .
