This is very helpful, but unfortunately, my sweater didn't have such a "clean" break. Mine was more jagged and frayed, and the number of stitches that need to be replaced were more in some of the ribs than others. How can i add more rows to only one rib?

The thread is really thin, and I have no clou how to work with yarn oder needles. It is to small for a typical hook or needle. Perhaps you understand what I mean, and you have an idea to solve this problems? I have to take care for clothes moths, because the holes are new 😳
