Just had the same issue where my screen cracked but the display is working properly however I can’t do anything with it because the screen is cracked. Were you guys told that the specific screen with that larger chip for the touring models are available anywhere for purchase separately? I was just quoted from the dealer that I’d have to buy the whole display unit which was a little over $1000

Awesome explanation guys! Thanks. Mine was a little different, I actually put my fist through it and it went haywire ever since (volume would change on it's own, AC on/off, everything!) When I removed the the glass pane, it was still going crazy. Would that mean that unlike you, my situation would require a new LCD as well? It seems slighty indentend at the bottom, I'm referring to the metal frame where you removed the glue ( at 18:59 time). Any advice would be awesome!

I don’t know how this is glass. My stock 2018 touring radio has what looks like a plastic digitizer that when I slide my fingers on it feels like a paper feel screen protector but it’s flexible and not glass. I don’t know how yours is glass.

Do you know the difference between an SL01 and an SL02 screen? You linked an SL01, and another guide said to buy an SL02. I just want to be sure I get the correct one. Thanks!

i checked with the dealer to get the correct part number, you should do the same
