How to Replace a Brake Light for a Honda Fit 2009-2014

This DIY tutorial will show you how to replace the brake light for a Honda Fit 2009-2014. My driver side brake light went out and I picked up a replacement bulb from Napa. This repair only took a few minutes and only required something to pry the access panel off with. Anyone can do this simple fix.

Both sides done in 5 minutes. Thanks! The hardest part was lining up those tabs and getting the right angle to twist it back into place

hi i have honda fit 2009 the break light need to be changed bit only with 2 fingers i can reached the bulb , the problem is that is very hard turning anti clockwise , and I'm scared to use a plyer , any suggestion please thanks

I would think you could use some pliers as long as you don't turn it too hard. Hopefully it won't take that much to loosen it up.

Whoever designed this at honda needs a kick in the groin. Its impossible to get your hands in to remove or put the dang thing back on. Just left it hanging. Will try again tomorrow. Do they only have gnomes working at honda? 😂
