Great video, bud! My granny had an Elite Supreme that had a fan replaced. I sold it on eBay a few years ago.

Thank you very much, this video was a saver. I was able to disassemble the vaccum but had trouble figuring out how to remove the broken fan. Hopefully I can find a new 7 blade fan to replace it. Thanks again!

Nice video on changing the fan of these Hoover elites. I would say when you’re going to remove the fan, it’s better to remove the motor out of the housing and then hold onto the cooling fan with a cloth. Using a vice grip will damage the motor shaft because the vice grip has teeth.

Me neither, but it if does damage a bit, you can always use some sandpaper to reshape it.

Thanks for the video Peter, you made it better than I did. I love the way these Elites sound with the 20 blade fans (at least the 7 amp and lower ones), they pull so much more air and make not as much noise. I'm glad you pointed out the washer and how it's integral to keep it and not lose it, I once made the mistake of not putting that on my Dimension Supreme and the fan stuck itself to the motor housing, which caused me to have to motor swap it.

Thanks for watching Grayson, I also love the way these sound with the 20 blade fans. It really does draw so much more airflow and power. And yes I’ve made that mistake before to losing that washer and I had to scrap that motor. Mistakes happen

The fan was discontinued years ago, good luck finding a new one.

Hey, You Forgot To Slide The PowerSwitch To On When You Removed The Upper Base And You Also Forgot To Move The Switch Back To Off When You Put The Upper Base Back On!

It doesn’t really matter because the switch rod moves very easily.
