Learn how to replace or change the needle in your sewing machine and how to select your needles for sewing different types of fabrics.
This video shows you how to remove an old sewing needle in a serger and install the new sewing needle. Video tutorial how change the overlock needles.
Note: Don’t turn out the needles screw full. The small screw is easy to lose and buying a new one is very difficult.
This video shows you how to remove, change or reinsert a new sewing needle in you overlock serger.
Note: Before changing the needle turn the main power and light switch to the OFF position.
Before replacing the needle in a serger, you must determine the type and number of the needle that is used in your overlocker.

There are many different models and all are different. But the principle of filling the needle is the same. The thread must be inserted from the side of the long groove of the needle, and on the other side it is caught by the hook nose or looper nose. It seems complicated, in fact, think a little and you will understand everything.

Remove the presser foot and needle plate. Remove the stuck needle carefully. Check the loopers for scratches or breakage. Install a new needle and check the operation of the overlocker. In the future, always tighten the needle fastening screw firmly.

I have a Eurolock and it looks like the bolts/screws might be missing but I also can't seem to pull the needles out

Screws may be lost and the needle will not be pulled out because it has rusted and stuck inside the needle bar.

@@sewway I took a closer look with the flashlight on my phone and I think it might require the tiniest alan key in the world to undo the screws. Ordered a set which I hope will help. Thanks for the reply, though
