Nice job and great idea uploading this type of videos, specially when there's a huge lack of documentation regarding LED display technology issues. My advice for this specific video would have been to include how to determine which one was the faulty IC so that you can replace the correct one.

I would never work on just one side of an IC and prise it up at all, this will stress the connections on the other side of the IC and could damage the pads on the PCB, always add solder/warm up both sides and lift the IC away evenly. When resoldering it’s good practice to remove all old solder with braid to ensure the new IC sits flush on the PCB, then proceed to place the new IC and solder it (not weld!!) if using hot air then it will seat on the solder left on the pads.

How much degrees celsius are you soldering ?

Hi Tobi. Usually we do the soldering at 350℃. But the temperature is different when it comes to different products. Hoping this answers your question.

Thanks for the question. We set it at 350℃. But the temperature is different, depending on what products we are soldering. Hoping this answers your question.
