Hello, I have 2011 bmw 328i xdrive yesterday drove fine needed went to get gas car started to slow down shake and cut off got gas and it’s started got home it cut off and tried to start again start and turn over then loose power don’t know where to start does the same start in stop as seen in video could it be the fuel pump ?

Hi I have a 2009 BMW 328i yesterday I drove the car fine no problem then last night I went to start and it would crank but not turn over. I hooked up my car scanner and got 2 codes 1. 2ded closed circuit current violation and 2. 2DA6 (electric Fuel pump) Faulty, receiver DME. Transmitter EKP I tested voltage on my battery and at the terminals and have 13v after cranking it a few times.

if you have EKP related code it could be fuel control module not good

@@BestCarFixes my fuel pump Fuze was also blown but completely melted. I don't want to just replace the fuse and it just blow it out again

What are the symptoms of this failing? I currently have a 2011 BMW 328i that cranks and does not start. Replaced alternator.

is the car start and run before you change the alternator

@@BestCarFixes car has 70,000 miles. before I had issues with my car, I started it up to warm up maybe 5 minutes and it suddenly turned off and engine was off. I tried starting it up and it would crank but it would not start. I figured the car didn’t start because the alternator so I replaced that and I still have same problem as before. The battery goes low after trying to crank it 10+ times. I had it charged twice different shops and they both said te good. I checked fuel fuses and they look good and I’m starting to wonder if it’s a fuel pump issue

So my 2011 328i e90 stalled out today while driving. No warning, was driving perfectly fine. Has 65,300 miles. Stalled out, the service yellow light came on, I checked the code, it read CC ID 309. Which was fuel pump malfunction. It wouldn’t start up for about a half an hour. Waited and it started right up and I drove it home. The code wasn’t on my dashboard anymore either. What is the suggestion? Fuel pump itself, module, could it be bad gas? I’m super confused.

run a diagnose to see what code you have it could be any thing from fuel pump control module and so on

@@urstillweak5805 I changed the fuel pump and it’s not stalling out. But now I also need Vanos Solenoids and I’m almost positive I need a PCV valve. I’m sick of having a BMW lol. Almost

@@urstillweak5805 make sure to check your fuel pump sender tho. It’s behind your passenger side rear seat. Towards the inner part of the door. You can check the voltage on that before you just change your pump. If the voltage is good, change the fuel pump. Of the voltage is reading low, it could possibly be that fuel pump sending unit. I learned that from my car being fucked up lol. Good luck.

I bought a new module and installed it without programming and the car turns on. It still has a rough idle but it hasn’t turned off on me yet. I thought it wasn’t suppose to turn on if it wasn’t programmed. Have you seen this before?

yes some of them work but it is better to program it
