Always nice to know what year, make model of vehicle being worked on. Also, the actuator being replaced in this video appears to be the air recirc actuator that controls either inside or outside air being pulled in by the blower motor.

Need one for a Mazda 3 2014 the heat isn’t coming through on mine. Mechanic said it’s the blend door actuator. Only a video for 2015 model.

I just repaired the actuator on an 03 corvette under the dash on the driver's side and it was a real tight fit the get in there to reach., I finally got it repaired.it took me 2 days to take it apart and put back together.. That's why they charge the big bucks to work on them.

inside the heater box where the blend door is (full hot)it greats a suction that keeps the blend door sealed for heat i had a really hard time moving the blend door by hand no wander the actuator burns out (solution put the selector (dial on the right) on off wow no more suction the door moved real easy)

I have a 2004 solara .... my heat just started blowing cold air... I did however keep hearing a clicking noise from under the dash ... now I just got to fix it .. do you think its the acuator / mixer ? I hate to get the wrong part lol.. I took it to a shop and they switched it so I can have heat but now its summer time and I really just wanna fix it ...me being a female my boyfriend is going to do the work .. your video did provide some insight but still kinda in the dark as to whether it will work on the solara or not .. if can please advise I would be grateful .. thank you !

idk what year this vehicle was but will the blend door location be in the same spot on a 2006? When my heat is turned down low i get warm air and as i turn the blower up it gets colder and looses heat so i was told to check the blend door only im not sure where it is

No they’re not all on the same spot, depends on what WK you have and if it’s dual climate.

Great video and thanks for showing how the actuator actually can be taken apart and especially the little broken gear tooth! I had a mechanic recently repair my Chrysler mini van for a no heat on driver's side condition. He replaced the COMPLETE AIRBOX WITH ALL 3 actuators. Is there any reason to replace the COMPLETE unit?? I would appreciate your reply if possible. Thanks!

I was a Chrysler tech for a year before I moved to a state mechanic position, but my assumption here is that if the entire airbox needed to be removed to replace an actuator, the tech may have replaced all three while it was out since actuators are bad about grinding down those stupid plastic gears and its a pain to rip apart an entire dash. It's possible Chrysler doesn't make the actuators for that specific vehicle and sells it as a whole unit. The other possibility is the tech could get more commission hours for pulling the whole air box to replace all three instead of the one problem child.

Just got a replacement in the mail and the instruction are telling me that I need a scan tool to make sure the gears are in sink. Is there a default position with the climate controls to work off of?

I have a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe and the interior vent will not close vent will not close I cannot make the control turn off but the AC and heat works fine and the control buttons but the vent stays open from the outsidePS there is no noise coming from the panel like you are showing can you help thank you

I have an 2001 300M. My actuator doesn't move at all. A/C and heat blows. Actuator stays on the windshield. Also the control stays on, constantly blowing. I think I have a multi problem. Any suggestions?

Some of my air vents arent outputting as much air flow as the others (passenger side is stronger than drivers side) -- do you think the actuator is the issue? no impact to temperature of air (2014 Chevy Cruze)

Try changing your Cabin Air Filter. That was my issue it was clogged up and full of debris and hard from water over the years. The factory one was still in it. I changed it out and it will blow your socks off in my 08 Tundra🤙🏼

I have the similar issue on an '04 Accord but vise versa Driver side vents blow stronger than Passenger. Did you replace your cabin filter? If so did that fix the problem? (NOTE: I also hear the clicking noise when the heater is on sometime)

Kyle Silva i would highly recommend using Delco. Dorman is not my favorite company. Had a good amount of problems with them

I just got through working on my car HVAC under the dash and it was a hard place to get my hands into and I skinned,,and cut,, and scratch them up some more.. but at least I got it fixed..

I'm working on a 2017 compass. it's a pos vehicle. the actuator that I'm trying to replace is the one on the far pass side. Had to use a mirror to see the screws turns out they are phillips head. What idiot would put phillips head screws in an area that you have to by feel. As I have always contended if you want something messed up get an engineer or a politician. No common sense, no experience.
