I really loved the video, but I was wondering how much fabric is needed for this? I know it will depend on the car but did you buy 3yrds of 60” width fabric?

Hi! Our car was on the small side, so we used 2 yards of 54-inch wide fabric. We recommend measuring from your front windshield to the backwind shield to determine your length. Hope that helps!

I would like to see how the headliner is removed. A screw driver or pryed off?

For this specific car, it was a combination of both. We used a screw driver to remove some hardware holding it in place. Then we pulled the headliner out from the trim pieces around the side that were holding the edges in place. But every car is going to be a little different which is why we didn't go into depth on this step. We hope this is helpful for you!

Super helpful but is it an easier way to do it without taking the whole headliner out. The fabric on my headliner is coming down in spots but I just want to make it stick back up without taking it out.

Unfortunately to do it properly, it will need to be removed. There is no way of effectively getting adhesive behind the sagging fabric without pulling all off and regluing it.

Trust me, you can get the headliner out. It may seem daunting, but it will be more than worth it. I believe in you!

Wish I could spray some adhesive on a floor surface, but I can’t afford it. I’ll use some kind of drop cloth.

Because we were working on laminate flooring we were able to easily wipe away any overspray with adhesive remover. Good luck on your projects!

The old foam should be removed before applying adhesive.

Our specific headliner actually didn't have any foam on it. The discoloration that is there is actually just the fiberglass. So we were able to just remove the previous fabric and apply our adhesive to the fiberglass.

Sooo many wrinkles. Should have used a roller of some sort.

Thank you for your comment and concern. However, installing light headliner fabric is a recommended use for the 3M General Trim Adhesive we used in this video. It's designed to bond lightweight materials, making it a suitable choice for this project. The headliner is holding up well and has shown no signs of failure. We appreciate your input, and we'll continue to monitor its performance! Have a great day!
