Beautiful job man! Your video is awesome, with nice clear views of what you're doing and how. It's a comprehensive tutorial with, as a bonus, a nice and calm vibe to it. You really nailed it, so keep providing us with vids of this quality. Oh and beautiful AMG E-Class by the way. These new headlights make it look like factory new. I'm starting to consider replacing those of my own E-Class (a V6 diesel... I'm french, so yeah...) for the same reason you replaced yours : no matter the polishing, they oxidize and tarnish very easily overtime, especially in sunny regions like where I live (south of France). Enough talking, and thanks so much for this high-class tutorial.

Bought online a pair of plastic clear lens for W211 headlights. About USD35. Had a shop to replace it for close to USD100. They use an owen and bake even at 100 deg C before stripping the old lens out. Turn out to be very very nice. No need to replace whole head lights. Regards.

Thanks for the video, man! I just got my dad's w211 e200(2004) and the condition of headlights is horrible that i can barely see during night time. And you show every details even the tools size we need to know when we want to replace those headlights! Hope I can do this smoothly too.

I didn't see you removing screws from under the grill below the number plate. Does it mean that you skipped them, or there is just none on the AMG bumper?

If I may ask, why did you add the U-metal nut on the bumper tip that attaches to the fender on both sides? I don't have those on my car. Does it help reduce the gap or secure the bumper more firmly?

Thanks for the comment! Yes you can change your original headlights unit to Hella headlights unit..As long it’s the W211 model U good!👍 It’s all about the ballast that’s on the bottom of the headlight unit..You can buy the Hella headlights unit at FCPeuro.com

Question! When you star up engine do both headlights (lenses) ar moving right left and un and back to normal level? Because mine is moving only right headlight.... left headlight only up and down......😥

Yes both of mines do move around and back to normal position..U may have A mechanical issue going on in the headlight housing and your headlights may have A good amount of use miles on them and ready to be replaced!

Do these lights come with bulbs fitted or do you have to install your own bulbs? I'm asking because it seems you have LED parklight bulbs that match the headlight color temp fairly accurately. What bulbs are you using?

Yes the Hella headlight unit comes with all the bulbs installed in it!

@@legendarycars9997 I can't recommend highly enough that you ceramic coat the new headlight lenses. Exposure to weather degrades these headlights like nothing i've ever seen. Worst quality control ever.

Pues si tengo un mercedes clase E del 2006 cdi avantgare W211 y quisiera cambiarle las luces de posición delanteras por unas led que den la luz blanca y un poco más intensa. A la hora de quitarlas he visto que tiene un conector que sale pero cómo se quita la bombilla, hay un tubo que está dentro la bombilla pero está fijo con la bombilla dentro le he puesto otra vez el conector y no se cómo quitar la bombilla en cuestión para cambiarla.

You can if that’s what you prefer! I just wanted everything new! New bulbs..New ballast..New plastic covers..Hole assembly headlight unit new!

Fantastic video, great work! Was there a particular reason you replaced the whole assemble? How much total time did it take to do the replacement? Looks like you went with OEM, Could you provide a link to get the replacement part? I am having an issue with my headlight on the driver side only which goes out after about 30 seconds of idle. However if the headlight is on and I am driving faster than 37MPH then my the headlight stays on, when I drop below it goes out. However I can get it back if I turn it off and on again or switch modes, but same problem happens if I go below 37 again. It seems kind of odd I have to switch modes every time I come to a stop light. I know funny problem.

Thanks for the comment! I replaced the headlights because no matter how much you scrub to get them clean..It will never have the new look that I desired..So I replace them with the OEM! The time it took me for the replacement was around 4-5 hrs..Do to I have to record the video..You can get the headlights on EBay or Fcpeuro.com👍🏾 It sounds like you may need to replace your car battery 🪫 or maybe A bad ballast/wiring connection in your headlight units.

@@legendarycars9997 I had the dealer take a look at it over a year ago and they came back with power to the headlight is fine, they think the wiring inside the headlight is frayed, so they recommended replacing the drivers side headlight assemble (which included the parking lamp). The other thing I forgot to mention is that after months of left headlight issue I started getting 'Check Front Left Parking Lamp' message. The bulb does flash a few times before I get the message, so I don't think it's the bulb. The funny thing is that as long as I am driving at 37 miles or over it stays on.

just take photos with your cellphone camera or even a short video clip showing the locations of the screws before you start the work… that’s what I did when I worked at a body shop and needed to tear down a car I’d never worked on before.

? When You Turn Your Lights On Are All Your Lights Give Off That Blueish Look? Or Just The Outer Lights But Not The Inner Lights? I Noticed When You First Turned Your Car On The Lights Were Blueish In The Middle Then Gave Off That Yellowish Look When Your Outsr Lights Came On.

No you do not need A scanner when replacing your headlights with some new ones. Only thing the headlights would probably need is to be adjusted..Which you can see at the very end of my video how I did it! 👍🏾

Nope on removing the headlights..Make sure you always disconnect the battery first before working on any modules or sensors to be on the safe side! 👍🏾

Yes you can adjust the high beam light! Watch the video on 28:15 The gray tab is the High beam adjust..You just have to take off the gray tab and then you can adjust the high beam..Just like the low beam..Which is right next to each other!

Thanks for the vid! A question: I have a '04 with bi-xenon and cornering lights. After replacing the right headlamp I get a message "Cornering Lights". They do not swivel and the right one is pointing to the far right side. Wouldn't be a problem if it was facing forward, but this is a problem. Is there a module that might be broken? Or is there a way to re-initiate these moving lights? Running out of ideas here...

Make sure your headlight unit and bulbs are OEM! If you had the original headlight you took off..Look at the part number and brand..If you do not have the correct OEM parts for your Mercedes Benz it will cause A fault/malfunction in the system.

@@supercricketfanatic The one headlight side you want Is actually the [Bi-Xenon With Corner]..So when you take A left turn the driver side fog light will come on given you more light for a curve..I actually got that one for sale on EBay for $375 free shipping!!!

They were very nice, you could polish your headlights with chloroform steam, the Turks always do it, it's like new or I bought the aliexpresten headlight covers and changed them, very cheap

DO NOT BUY DEPO HEADLIGHTS IF YOUR CAR HAS BIXENON, ONLY HELLA Dude before me put theme on bc he could not polish out the litle cracks in the original units, yup guess what, self leveling doesnt work and you need to unplug one jack for the leveling motor on one of the hadlights or else the whole canbus goes viral. So go with hella, they are expensive but well worth it. Also for xenon bulbs i went for bosh, and for these small 5W bulbs i kept theme yellow, dont install leds, keep it oem. It will last you a good time

There are good 4000K Canbus error free 5W LED bulbs that don't look yellow and crappy but also don't look that stupid blueish color either. I have them on mine and I love them.

@@averagedev7768 I was just referring to the last part of your comment when you said you left the parklight bulbs yellow. I changed mine and I am pleased with the 4000K replacement I used. However in reference to the headlights my car didn't come with the self leveling BiXennon headlights and if Hella is the manufacturer of the halogen headlight housings I have never come across I more awful headlight design. It should practically be labeled "FULLY biodegradable". the internals of the headlight as well as the outer lens just turns into powder over time. I would NEVER recommend anyone with the halogen headlight replace them with OEM headlights. I just ordered a pair of DEPO replacements. I'll report back if they were good.
