First time I did this,your video was informative. I noticed I could just stick my hand in back and pop the cover and twist to left n pop it out without taking grill off or popping the tabs up.you'd be surprised what a little light can do to make you see..That's the real trick!!!!!

I had both headlights replaced at the dealership a few years ago because I was told you had to take the entire front end off to replace them. Now both low beams are out and a shop says it's my wiring harness. But my high beams still work. So Advanced Auto tells me it sounds like I just need to replace my low beam bulbs. 🤯 I don't know who to believe but I'm trying the cheapest first! The guy at Advanced Auto also said it was just a couple clips on top. 😆 He didn't mention I had to take the grill off! So here goes nothing! But I love your video! It is very step-by-step and I think I can follow it and do it along with you. Thank you so much!!

To do the passenger side just remove the washer resinous tank. Give you a lot more room. Driver side just slide your hand behind the lights. Take off cover and turn bulb and remove.T chrome trim is p.astic and may break which happen to me due to weather.

Very helpful but I have a 2006 in which the headlights are not seated inside like yours with covers. The drivers side low beam is reachable and changeable without having to remove however the passenger side is difficult as it's blocked from the top and not easily accessible. Having said that.. think I have a short because the light comes back on after closing hood firmly. It's intermittent but still could be bulb filament going out. Either way your method and video are most helpful.

Great video Andy! I have a 2003 Trail Blazer that needs a new low beam bulb so this video is perfect!! Can I assume that the process is essentially the same for an 2003 6-cylinder?

Just as I thought. Answered my main question. The Grille 'does' indeed have to come out? (May as well do 'all' of them if I have to do all of this to swap one out....at least I'll know they're all brand new!!! Plus I'll have three spares in the glovebox?)

Alright Andy...can you help me out? If you look at the low beam, there is sort of a cap with lines on it where the headlight shines through. What is that called??? My mechanic changed my headlight bulb and bumped that part - now my headlight is out of alignment. I have been searching and searching trying to find out how to adjust that part and I am not having any luck! I can fit my hand comfortably down in there without having to remove the grill. It will be a 2 minute job if I can just find some information on how to adjust that cap thingy. Sorry for my "technical" term. 🙃

Awesome vid. Question... if you may know... had LEDs installed 6 months ago. Passenger side recently went out. Replaced it and it went out again the same day. Would you happen to know any reasons why that would happen?

Could be shorting out or a bad batch of led’s

Good video however you should not touch the bulb with your fingers. The oil on your fingers effects the bulb and it will burn out much quicker. I recommend using cotton gloves or the synthetic gloves.

Just realized you dont even need to do all of that. All you have to do is take off the runber back and twist it out, out with the old in with the new light bulb, twist is back in there and out the rubber back, back on it and boom. All done. But either wat is easy.

Is the high beam the same size of the low beam if not can you link the one I need trying to get all my head lights white led

It should be the same number as the regular bulb, just the LED version. These can be found online from various vendors

Dumb way to have a headlight. Never getting that grill off in the cold. May as well bust the grill with a sledge hammer if you gotta do this in the cold. Guess that makes mechanics more of my money.
