Use these adhesive strips to hold your new battery in place: goo.gl/VCxtUK

This video will show how I replace the battery in my Apple iPhone 7. If your battery is lasting less than 2 or 3 hours, or maybe it gets to 30 percent and just shuts off randomly, it might be time for a new battery. Sometimes disconnecting the battery will get rid of any software errors like it did with the 1-1-1990 glitch: • January 1, 1970 Bricke...
Remember all repairs are done at your own risk. The repair itself is not that difficult if you have worked with tools before. And you are careful removing that screen.

Much easier to do on the Galaxy Note 7. Just plug the charger in, rattle the phone, and the battery just explodes out of the phone. Reassembly is a little tricky, though.

Thanks. Between your instructions and the instructions that came with the battery and tool kit, I was successful. I will note that your video was 3 minutes, but it took me almost two hours to do the job. Also, I wouldn’t advise any one should try this if they lack patience and a hands free lighted magnifier. I didn’t know screws could be that small.

WONDERFUL! I accidentally clicked on this instead of 7+, but your directions were so succinct but thorough! My favorite part was about you warning us that the white sticky strip might break and then I believe you said "you will have to do the pry of life" or something witty. The 7+ had three strips and two came off fine. The third didn't! I had to do the "pry of life" - so difficult, and it ended up bending the old battery. So then I was thinking "if I don't get this new one in correctly, I'm f***ed!". All went well. New battery installed. Battery capacity meter in settings went from 70% to 100% and all is well! Today, you are my hero!

Hello. Other than the things you've described, is there any other difference in changing the 7+ battery from just the 7, please? I'm about to attempt both the battery _and_ the screen replacement on my battered iPhone 7+ and came hunting for a 7+ replacement video on Zack's channel but couldn't see one! Would like to learn from your experience if possible - thank you!

Just coming back because I found this video incredibly helpful, but have a remark too. Note that (other than said at 0:28) a suction cup is helpful, just make sure you REALLY heat up the respective area (bottom) with a hair dryer. when sufficiently warmed up, you can get under the display with a plastic opening chip without any hassle (no metal blade needed). Other than that, just follow the video, it's been brilliant for me.

Thanks for making this video so simple and short. I hate videos that talk way too without adding information. One small suggestion, it would be very helpful to have one freeze frame of the assembled inside before closing it. Would be a nice reference to see how all parts align. Amazing tutorial, with your help I managed to change the battery. It took me a while (30m) because I took extra care. One comment to make, my Iphone didn't have the ribbon you mention and I had to remove only one screw to install the battery. I had some trouble with the pull tabs. The first one broke just in the start and it was accesible, however, I managed to pull it offwhile removing the second one. I pulled and try to stick the blocked tab with the one I was removing and I managed to remove the two at the same time (got lucky I believe). Thanks for your help!

Thanks for this! I've NEVER replaced a battery on a phone. I forgot that I had bought a battery for an iPhone 7 that I knew was dying, just rediscovered the phone and the battery a few days ago, and since I have a new phone now I figured; "why the heck not?" Followed these directions and it worked like a charm. Thankfully I already owned a similar pair of tweezers and my husband had a tiny screwdriver bit set. My old iPhone 7 can hold a charge and now I can use it for my second Pokémon Go account =)

Your videos usually are amazing and "well made". I think this one gives me a feeling that you rushed it it's like you wanted to be done with it and not take your time and make a nice informative video like the others. You cut the adhesive beneath the battery twice and in the end there was some left in the bottom. Also, you do not mention what we can do before we place the new battery, i mean does it come with its own adhesive in the bottom? Should you take off all of the adhesive left in the bottom from the previous battery? Thanks for your videos mate they are truly brilliant.

Once all is set and done, I've successfully swapped the 3 year old *2900 maH* battery with a *3300 maH replacement.* The *Battery Health* settings went from a used *85%* back to *100%.* And this *slightly bigger* capacity replacement doesn't seem like it's going to be drained as fast. Onwards, with the 7 Plus for another 3 years *(Year 2022).* I've also purchased a *$9.99 Qi charging lightning pad* and put a matte black case on it. Now I have *wireless charging.* 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Hey very good video as always. You give a unique in depth look as every phone you review. I'm witting this because I'm curious what your current daily driver, so what do you think is the best phone out there in a hardware and durability stand point. I was pursuing getting myself a Note 7 but I guess the battery had other plans for me.

if so, you can make 6s or other iPhones waterproof too.
@schantzee5733
@schantzee5733 7 жыл бұрын
I'm pretty sure the 6s doesn't have water proof ports or speaker grills so good luck with that. You could make the i7 mostly water resistant again by replacing that adhesive on the frame during the repair but replicating the factory seal is an unrealistic expectation.
