This is a tutorial video on how to take apart and replace the LCD and glass screen on your Apple iPhone XS Max. (The entire AMOLED + Digitizer +Glass screen + frame assembly)
Its the same procedure and same glass screen used for all carrier models.

I used the following tools:
1. Pentalope screwdriver
2. Y Tip Tri Tip screwdriver
3. Small Phillips head screw driver
4. Hair dryer or Heat gun.
5. Prying tool
6. Suction cup

Question...had my screen replaced today..now the 3d touch for camera and flashlight on lock screen will not work...but the haptic touch works for everything when phone is unlocked...what happened?

Prying the screen up like that is the quickest way to crack it. Slide a playing card along the edges it’s safer. And no need to remove sim tray unless removing logic board.

if you replace a screen then you need to reprogram the screen. If not then yeah you will lose true tone.

Yes it does either disconnect the flex cables and reconnect if that doesn’t work then you need a new Lcd. I would try backing up your iPhone then restoring to see if it’s software related first tho.

No. Understand that this procedure does not repair the waterproof adhesive parameter that was destroyed when opening the phone.
