You forgot to put the tabs inside at 12:30 (see when you opened at 7:00) but otherwise, THANK YOU ! Massive help to do it along with someone 👍🏻

I still have this laptop. One of the best laptops for me. Not my primary machine nowadays but still powerful enough. I replaced the keyboard 2 times during the last years, today was keyboard nr 3.

At 12:30 you forgot to place the tabs into there's slots for supporting the lower part of the keyboard.

I'm a novice. To which tabs do you refer? Did the tech in the video edit that part and fix this error on the video?

THIS WAS EXTREMELY HELPFUL... THANKS FOR POSTING! MY F KEY AND SHIFT KEY WENT BAD, CRAPPY ACER QUALITY... I'VE NEVER HAD A KEYBOARD FAIL ON A LAPTOP SINCE 1994.

Thanks very much for video, really helped out. Can't believe how complicated that was though, I lost count after taking the 31st screw out. Just so you know people, right at the end of the replacement process you will need a 1.6 x 2.5 screwdriver. I had to run out and get one whilst my laptop was in peices.

One thing to add, make sure you order a UK or US keyboard, mine was a US type, luckily I noticed this when ordering the keyboard on Ebay. They have different key configurations so check before ordering.

Thanks, worked fine on my 772G, the stereo speakers needed to be unscrewed, but the rest is the same.

13:40 the 3rd small Screw is on the wrong place. It should be on the left side of the pictire in the middle of the 3 "horizontal" holes.Nevertheless, thanks a lot for the film!!!

I COULD NOT GET THE BLACK SPEAKER CABLE OUT TILL THE END. BUT YOU CAN INTELLIGENTLY MANOUVER AND GET THE KEYBOARD OUT ANYWAY WITH THE CABLE ON. IT WAS A PAIN. ALSO, I HAVE 4 SMALL SCREWS LEFT OVER.

My Keys S, D, G and H Sometimes dont work on my Aspire 772G. I tried to Reinstall driver and some other stuff, but it still doesnt Work. Would the Keyboard replacement solve the issue?

I got a Acer Aspire V3-772G-5420161.12TMakk so actually the same as yours but with your manipulations I am not able to remove the DVD drive ! Actually It appears that I need to remove one more screw but I can't find it. I assure you that I removed exactly all the screws and did exactly what you do in the video. I think my model is a bit different of yours but I can't understand why and above all I want to know how to dismount my laptop. Can somebody help me ? Thanks a lot btw.

Wow. Thats a lot of unscrewing. A bit too much for me. I replaced the hdd for a ssd drive because the orginal drive was broken after a few years. That was easy to do, not to difficult. The accu also died on me but i didnt bother to replace it and now its just working on the power cord. The keyboard also was broken after a few years of use. Buttons stopped working. I guess thats a fault with this acer series because i can find a lot of topics about this on the internet on this one 😂 I just attached an usb keyboard to the laptop. The laptop is in the same spot all the time and working for years as a movies server for me. After all those faults with the acer laptop its still working. 😅 so the people at acer did something right. For people who dont mind putting some energy in fixing its faults.
