Replacing lid on the Maxxfan Deluxe (time lapse). Steps listed below in description.
Steps:
00:00 1. Remove screws on both ends of lid
00:04 2. Remove fan cover and fan from shaft (requires 3/32 hex bit or Allen key)
00:08 3. Carefully flex metal bars inside fan away from center to release pins from slide.
3.1 Don't lose the white plastic slidy bits on the pins
00:10 4. Once pins are free remove lid from fan, and follow steps in reverse with new lid
