Well done video. I've done fork seals and headrace bearings on loadsa my old big bikes but this was much harder because of all the bodywork and handlebar setup. Great informative video mate. Top marks.

aren't you suppose to leave a gap of between 1-2 bearings space to allow the bearings to rotate ?

It's a pressure bearing, and they are usually built from two separate parts (and not as a unit when an inner ring is permanently inside an outer ring). It is possible and acceptable to add a spacer between the two inner parts of the bearing that are pressed against each other when closing the shaft. Because it is a pair of "open" bearings, the outer ring is separated from the inner ring, then you close the free play clearances with the screw (to prevent them from being loose), if you want to preload them in a controlled manner with a spacer, it is possible, but it requires much more precise and expensive production (planning the clearances to press the bearing, but on the other hand do not preload them too much). Hope I was able to explain.

היי. אני לא מודד זמנים. גם הפעם הראשונה לוקחת תמיד יותר זמן. אני גם תוך כדי מצלם וזאת עבודה בתוך עבודה, כי צריך למקם מצלמה ותאורה וכו, והצילום גם לוקח זמן. כחובב אני עובד לאט, ככה יותר בטוח, וככה יוצא בסוף הכי מהר. אם הייתי צריך לחזור על הפעולה? הייתי לוקח משריין למשימה בין יומיים לשלושה ימי עבודה, לא בלחץ, כולל הכול. בשעות תחביב? זה אולי עבודה ל 18 שעות, לא מדדתי, רק תחושה.

@@alexkolyshkin1658 כן, בוקר של שישי לא יספיק למכונאי החובב גם אם עכשיו אני צריך לחזור על העבודה, פעם שנייה, שמונה שעות אולי בלחץ, בתנאי שהכול הולך חלק, אלא שתמיד יש בדרך תקלות, והשעון לא עוצר, ואם נלחצים מהזמן אז עושים נזק ולא מתקנים. .יש כאן הרבה חלקים שצריך לפרק, והטיפול במיסבים אלכס זה נכון שיחסית למורכבות העבודה לא צריך כאן כלים מיוחדים, וזה אולי יוצר פיתוי, אבל לפי הזמן הנדרש זאת לא עבודה קלה, לא למכונאי חובב מתחיל. לכן אם לא לוקחים את הזמן לעבודה מרווחת ורגוע, אז עדיף לא להתחיל. ונגשים למוסך מורשה ככה לדעתי.

@@ermisgeo Thank you. I don't know you personally, and I don't want to fail anyone. I highly recommend not skipping, and not giving up the Haynes motorcycle book. And this too, do-it-yourself mechanics is a hobby, and for a hobby you pay money and don't save money, because there is the price of tools, the price of learning, the price of mistakes, and time waiting for parts, etc.. it's a hobby. Those who want to save, and keep the best of maintenance and safety, find a good mechanic that they trust on.
