I pulled the battery out but there is no indicator that the battery is dead, shouldn't there be?

Anyone else find the battery only lasts from 20 minutes to 2 days max then getting a low battery sign flash on?

no. can be used without one. the battery helps keep you all set up even after unplugging or power outage so you dont have to hassle with setting time, etc.

Just push the battery up from the negative side.
