How to Replace the Front Hub Assembly Ford Ranger 4x4

Nice work. A 1-1/4" socket actually fits better than a 32mm for the axle nut.

Never hit the cv shaft with a hammer you'll mushroom the threads real quick. Rubber mallet yes.or leave the nut on and hit the nut.

Not bad, just did this job myself, using pretty much same stuff, but did both sides, replaced brakes and rotors too. Just a couple notes for anybody doing theirs, check the other side for how the abs line runs so you install those clips right, to get the old hub off go ahead and smack it with a hammer, when replacing the spindle nut just get it started then finish torque when tire on the ground so you don't damage studs, use anti seize on bolts, you can remove two of the three 8mm nuts on the dust Sheild and the tie rod nut if you need more room to work and turn the whole assembly left or right. @@curbsidemechanics3040 truck was picked up in Rhode Island. I needed a small truck out near Connecticut where I grew up. I live in Iowa. I go between to care for my dad part time since mum passed in December. He is coming up on 89 shortly and we needed a light truck to haul stuff. Handy, I chose a ranger because they are easy to work on. Found this one with the V6 4wd with just over 72000 miles for a 2005. Just picked up newer looking wheels and get me by tires for 175$ today…all 4 of them. Working on bumper, 4x4 actuator, and hitch tomorrow and next week. Doing the research for the front end replacement ( suspension, knuckles, bearings, shocks, etc.) for two weekends in late August. As a computer guy, I like having a hobby like this. Thank you for your interest.

Any video for a front wheel locking hub whole wheel assembly replacement? My wheel studs are all completely stripped out of the wheel assembly.
