Thanks so much for putting out this video. Seeing the clips and hardware put on made the job so much easier. You're doing a great service for people who want to do this job on their own or can't afford to pay a shop.

This was one of the best auto repair videos I've ever used - great video, short, quick and to-the-point! The bolt size for poping the rotors off is M8x1.25 - anything longer than about 20 mm would do the trick. Thanks Arty!

Of all the similar videos that i watched this the most helpful, accurate and precise. A zero knowledge and non experience person after watching this video can perform this task without any problem.

A few things: 1. Synthetic brake grease goes on the new caliper clips, the ones that are touching the brake pads. 2. Silicone brake grease goes on any metal part that touches any rubber, like the caliper slides. 3. The two v shaped springs that you installed that go on top of the pads are pretty much useless when bent so much. I know why you did it, to ease the installation, but they actually need to hold tension outwards, to keep the pads away from the rotors and causing drag while driving. 4. Hub needs to be cleaned up before installation of rotors. NEVER put anti seize or never seize anywhere NEAR the braking system, including on the hub behind the rotor. Seen that alot here on KZfaq, but props for not doing it! Otherwise this is a very informative video, thank you for taking the time to educate the masses!

IMPORTANT !!!! When you take the caliper bracket off, clean out the "pin well" in the bracket, shoot with brake clean & a piece of rolled up cotton tee shirt, shoot again, and & then the pins,{ if the pins have VERY small amount of rust, clean off with steal wool, {REAL RUSTY? -replace them} let dry, " THEN " re-lube pins with the "NEW" grease & you can install them.

And make sure "BEFORE " you compress the calipers back down/in --> " YOU REMOVE " the master cylinder "cap" so you don't blow a line out & it makes it much easier to compress back.

Arty's Garage What about lubing the pad guides? Needed or no? Why not throw in the torque values for those of us that have torque wrenches? Does it matter where the brake wear noisemaker pad clips are placed? I’d heard top, inside pad. Nice job, thanks.
