You do NOT have to remove your mirrors! Only the top cap, and the two screws in rear of mirror pull out the turn signal unit and there is your bulb….enjoy…still a great video! Yes, I own Rav4 XSE Prime with all the goodies and have changed the puddle lights.

Did it today on my own. I got by without removing the mirror. You can see the hook-clip between the mirror and the housing, just reached in with a flathead and push so the outer part popped out, the rest will follow. Just be careful. Then it was just those two screws, remove blinker, twist out the socket, change bulb and reasemble. A little hazzle getting the socket back in, but did ok with some pliers

I have a rav 4 2019 limited and i tried following your video and i couldn't remove the indicator light.. then i went to another video of someone changing that same indicator light and i found that there was also a clip in the corner you had to press. Also from my experience, putting the mirror in a backward position makes it easier to pul everything.. But thanks for that video, helped a lot.. now unlike upgrading my flood and indoor lights... not sure i see any difference

You just need a interior trim pry tool to pry off the mirror cover. You don't need many tools from there to get off the unit.

I struggled with that last plastic cover I was worried about breaking it

Whats the issue with the polarity?

what is the worth of having a multiple side led bulb when all it needs is one good led.
