I had seen advice to use a crochet hook, and having now tried both, this is much easier. I also appreciate the twist-tie and bobby pin ideas in previous comments. Thanks for sharing this!

Thanks for posting this, what worked really well was a twist tie! no bending of paperclip required. Just thread the ear loop over the twist tie until it is in the middle, then bring the two ends together and push the twist tie through the bead.

Wouldn't it be easier (and less wasteful) to just use a bobby pin?

+1 on how to replace a lost bead, any idea on what could achieve the same thing?

How about replacement beads for when you accidentally grab your mask and send your head flying? Any recommendations on that?
