I was quoted by subaru today to do this job for AU$644 for ONE wheel! Now that I have seen how easy it is I'll purchase the bearing and do it myself. I thought they would've been pressed in like the old cars but this is a very easy job. Thanks for the video.

WB pulled right out. Wow. Nice. Looks like you’ve done this once or twice before. Gives me some hope when I replace mine next week. Going with NTN or SKF. thanks.

I had both rear bearings on my 2017 Impreza get noise at about 35k, drove on them till 80k. Paid $500 each for replacement. Does their extended tire/wheel warranty cover this??

2:50 when you’re undoing the axle nut, what is the torque spec for it, and is it a 32mm?

And don’t be like this guy, actually use a torque wrench to tighten the axle nut.. otherwise you’ll be doing this again sooner rather than later.. also use some anti seize on the hub where it goes into the housing

Did he say that this car only had 30 some thousand miles on it? Then why is the wheel bearing gone on it already? I would definitely not go with OEM wheel bearing on that car. My Impreza has 90k miles on it and the rear wheel bearing just started making noise. And I think 90k is too soon. I've had cars with way over 100k miles on original wheel bearings.

Have you ever heard of something called a Torque Wrench? You might want to buy one so your videos can actually show others how to do the job correctly. Back in my day it wasn't a big deal, good n tight was adequate. But today with all the alloys, polymers, aluminum being used a torque wrench should be in everyone's tool box and actually use it. Just my .02.
@gregsmith3324 ай бұрын
The problem is this guy is too lazy to use torque wrenches and prefer to use impact wrenches instead.
@jamiehenry22742 жыл бұрын
He did not torque bearing bolts or axle nut to proper specs. That is a critical part of bearing lifespan! DO NOT do it without proper torques.
