Episode #309
Can a few rental properties replace your entire W2 income? Many rookies assume that becoming a full-time investor is only possible after amassing a large portfolio with dozens of properties, but that’s not the case. Today’s guest was able to meet his family’s monthly income goals with only six rentals!
In this episode of the "Real Estate Rookie" podcast, we’re speaking (in person!) with Travis Hall, an investor who knew very little about real estate just 18 months ago. After seeing the stress that his wife’s rigorous W2 job was creating, Travis discovered BiggerPockets and caught the real estate bug. The rest is history. Today, he has a small portfolio of six rentals-all thanks to the power of networking, partnerships, and, most importantly, taking action.
If you’re ready to trade in the rigidity of your nine-to-five for the flexibility of real estate, tune in to hear Travis talk about his fast journey to full-time real estate investor. He spares no details when discussing his short-term rental strategy (including some VERY unique investments), as well as the monthly income goals he needed to meet to make full-time investing a reality.

Buying rentals is the best way to prepare for financial freedom, after a couple you can either continue buying more or you can focus on the business ventures you might have always wanted to do. Investing in RE was definitely the best thing I ever did.

Hi guys, I’ve been listening a lot lately for the purpose of getting out of my current occupation ASAP, and replacing my income. I thought I heard you refer to Travis as someone that you met through “Alpha Host”. I can’t find any info on that. Do I have the name correct?

If you are extremely well educated and prepared, every crash or collapse offers an equivalent market opportunity. People have managed to accumulate up to $800K during crises and even with ease during a bad economy, in my experience. There is no doubt that the boom or collapse will make someone very wealthy.

Investing in Airbnb properties has been a lucrative venture for me. 🏡💰 It's like having your own mini-hotel empire that generates passive income month after month. By carefully selecting the right locations and providing top-notch hospitality, my Airbnb investments have consistently outperformed traditional real estate. I wasn't financially free until my 40s, and I'm still in my 40s. I've got 3 Airbnb's already, earn on a monthly basis through passive income, and achieved 3 out of 5 goals. Investing was the decision I made.

I wholeheartedly recommend Regina Louise Collaro, a distinguished financial advisor based in the US. Her collaboration with an international organization has been pivotal in my financial success. Regina's expert guidance has not only supported me consistently from educational investments to planning for retirement, but it has also played a critical role in significantly enhancing my wealth. Finding the right financial consultant is as vital as choosing the right life partner-both decisions shape your future profoundly. I feel incredibly fortunate to have Regina as my financial consultant, who has truly transformed my financial landscape and helped me thrive financially

That's great; your investment advisor must be really effective! I've heard from others how helpful investment advisors can be in improving financial stability. Could you share more information about this advisor?

This is a shocker seeing Regina Louise Collaro being mentioned here. I always had mixed feelings about hiring a lnvestment advisor. For the record, I started working with Alex in 2018, and he manages about 70% of my lnvestments, while I manage the other 30%. My philosophy is that I care more about my own money than anyone else, but he made me accept that they have wealth of information on current conditions and future trend
