Worked on an audi a3 2005 dsg. Symptoms were it working sometimes, then I changed battery, didn't work at all, did this trick and it worked after 2 ignition ons and 2 second holds. Thanks alot!!

Dude watching your video demonstration was so much more simplified than a lot of other KZfaqrs, I purchased a used Audi A4 Quattro 2004 3.0 with just one key and the RF reader worked and the car started however the buttons didn’t work, even after replacing the battery. This was the only video I followed that actually worked. Thank you!

I just bought the same car and it locked me inside and when I opened the it started flashing lights and honking wood not stop nor turn on I took off the battery so it would stop

I have a 2012 Audi A6. One of the key FOBs works fine but the other I had not used for some years. When I tried it recently it didn't work, so I replaced battery but still didn't work. I tried the manual lock unlock door and then try, still didn't work. Then tried placing FOB near the dashboard which shows key sign, and still nothing. Has the key got desynced from the car. What else can I try?

Any suggestions on getting into the car once the battery has been charged up as previous owner snapped key in drivers side lock, have 2 keys but no way of getting back into my car. I can't sync it, can't even get through the boot! Someone did say once car battery goes flat it dead locks the entire car!!!

For audi a4 b5, I first tried pushing the lock button 5 times while ignition was on and held it on for 5 sec, waited a minute, took it out and it worked. Don't know exactly what made it work.

I have this issue with my spare key, fob locks and unlocks the car but starts and dies instantly. The problem I have is the working key doesn’t seem to turn the lock in the door I’m guessing coz maybe door was changed but didn’t bother with doing the lock. Is there another way around this without going to the dealers?

So am I correct in saying you have 2 keys? One which the car starts and drives with but doesn’t lock and unlock The other key unlocks and locks the car but doesn’t start it? If that correct what you could do to save money is just change the blade across from the non starting key to the starting key which would mean you would have one working and one dead key, then you call a car locksmith and they would be able to cut a new key and reprogram it. If you have a key that starts the car and then instantly died is because you are missing a transponder inside the key which if not present will not let the immobiliser keep the car started

It flashes once like it normally would when pushing a button but then i keeps flashing for 3-4 seconds continously and goes of. It does this on all three buttons. Anyone?

Hia I’m still having no luck I’ve tried a few methods the fob stopped working when I changed the battery for the car is there anything you could suggest to help me fix the fob also if I lock my car with key the alarm goes off so have to leave the car unlocked

The alarm could be because car is not closed properly however I think it’s because of the electronic fob not working now your fob may be damaged would be best too open the key and take a close look at all the components and double check battery is in correct, if you have another key try placing this one in the door and other In ignition

Brandon Hernandez if you are only needing the plastic casing you can purchase from eBay as they are cheap however due to current situation not sure how long it will take to arrive alternatively if there is a dealership open near you, they can provide this

Car Help For You id like to purchase a new Audi key fob for my 2007 a4 2.0t and use the technique shown in your video (very helpful btw) but I’m so sure where I can a new Audi key fob. I’ve looked on eBay and Amazon for replacements at a cheaper price but some reviews say that they’re not “programmable”; idk whether to believe them or they just gave up quick. That’s why I’m wondering where you had purchased your new Audi key fob; either online or from a dealership :)

Brandon Hernandez oh okay I had the key supplied to my via a customer sadly I have no idea of where they bought the key from however if you wanting to buy the full fob best way is dealership as will need to be coded

Would this method work on a 2009 a5 coupe audi lock on the the remote will not open drivers door, passenger door will unlock ????

If the remote unlocks one door then this method would not working as your key is working there would most likely be a fault in the door best to examine the wires and check behind the trim on the door

If you buy a brand new key the board in key will have to be coded to the cars immobiliser so this method will not work on new key

May need to go in via vcds and change the keys from there had a 2012 Audi A3 where the vcds was needed

Usually to lock button however doesn’t make a difference which button to press. If this method hasn’t worked, then you would need to code key back into the system using the VCDS

Not a problem here to help you save money, yes it would work however if it doesn’t work then key needs to be programmed via a software such as vcds

I actually did a Audi A3 2012 today and just removed the battery put new one in abs pressed lock unlock lock unlock it worked try that if it doesn’t work put in ignition and turn on but keep engine off then unlock and lock few times try that if still no luck then insert key in door twist key to lock unlock and press button lock unlock few times one of the three methods should do the trick

I have seen user manual its say press unlock button in the remote and then insert key in drivers door within 30sec then manually unlock the door take out the key and press any button like lock or unlock. I didn't try this. I will try it now.
