GOD BLESS YOU MATE. I had a problem with the sunroof cos it didn’t closed on. I m live in Uk and lots of rain happening 😂 So before I take my car to the mechanic I have decided to see what KZfaq offers. I find you and your “trick” helped. THANK YOU AGAIN

Thanks man! Solved the same issue with my Mini Cooper F56, the sunroof was stucked and closed, no response after pressing the bottom. I just pressed the button the way you are showing and it works perfectly.

OMG THANK YOU!!! I just got my 2012 but when the sunroof gets hot from standing in the heat it would not open. After driving a couple of minutes it would open. When i come home or get to my destination it wouldn't close when parked. It would close when I'm driving so i had to leave my parkingspot drive for a bit just to close the roof.

You're welcome, just to let you know as well they also have lubricant for rubbers that you can put on it every now and again to keep it moist so it's easy to open and close.

@Denzel wilson glad it help bro, I am a Jamaican just live in the cayman island but I work on my own cars because it is a little expensive here in the cayman for some simple things 🤣

@@bmwloverforlife8091 Haven’t been to the Cayman Islands in awhile but due a trip there. I actually have a bredren living there for awhile now, he works with island paving. I actually own a couple of these cars and work on them myself. Just getting into the N18 engine, did a partial rebuild on one and have another N18 to do the same. The N18 engine does feel stronger than the N14.

@@bmwloverforlife8091 No I don’t know about that either the lubricant to go around the sun roof windows seals do you what name and make 🤔 Maybe I can get the equivalent here in England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿 It definitely could do with some. Kind regards Mel

@@melraine919 you have a lot of brands like Blaster, Gunk, CRC but you just want to get one that's says silicone Lubricant.

@MrAboutlife If I am right, I think it should be the same because even on BMW, 90% of them, no matter the year to reprogram, the windows are normally the same.

hello, would you be able to advise me where the fault could be, I was changing the gears because it was destroyed, and because of this the sunroof did not work for about a year. After changing the wheel, if I connect the motor and press the button, there is no response, the motor does not work at all?

Sorry for my late reply. Work had me going, so I haven't checked these things for some time now. First, you want to know if there is electricity going to it because a fuse could have been blown as well. Also I have seen it that the car needs to be reprogram just take off the battery ports th negative and positive and put then together for about 15 min then connect them back to the battery and it might start back working but most of the things in the car like date and time will need to reset.
