More precisely: If presented with an image of a broken Android with "No Command" printed on the screen, press and hold the Power button. Press the Volume Up button once. Then release the Power button.

Thanks for that vid. Gt stuff. One point about 'Peace!' There are large parts of the English speaking world that see the V-sign with back of hand to viewer as the same meaning as middle finger up. When Winston Churchill popularised the V-sign - in those days meaning 'Victory' - it was always with palm to viewer. And so with 'Peace'. See also Jack Bruce, bass player/vocalist with Cream, at their reunion concert, 2005. Lots of 'Peace!' signs - all palm fwd.

Help! I can't recall my pin since it was setup for encryption, prior to loading Android, there is a pin, I can't recall I was using a newer G7 & it's not working right, so I want to go back. Well I tried this method & I can the recovery mode, then when I get the Android robot on screen, like you, I hit vol up & power as you suggest, doesn't work, it just tries to reboot & then if I keep holding it keeps flashing that initial splash screen back up on the screen, goes away & does it again, as long as I'm holding those 2 down (Vol up + Pwr) & even if I just hit & release them, doesn't work either.

When I do it on my phone. Where the android appears open with the red triangle. Down below instead of the Chinese or Japanese words like you have. Mine says “No command” And when I press the up volume and the power button, it won’t go to the next screen.
