I tried resetting the garage code from the instructions on the keypad and ended up locking myself out of my house when it didn't work. $150 for a locksmith later, I went straightaway to find instructions on how to reset correctly-like many of the other commenters, this was the first video I found and it was PERFECT. Garage code reset, and lesson learned-never leave the house without a key just in case. Thank you!

WATCH THIS if you need to *reset JUST the keypad code (and not all of your remotes) and want a SPECIFIC DOOR to be set to the code you want*. Saw some other videos which worked, but they required pressing the "LEARN" button on the opener or resetting the whole system for 6 seconds. I didn't want to reprogram all my remotes all over again, and the door button I had was the secondary "doorbell" type (it has no LEARN button on it), so this was GREAT. Didn't realize the instructions I needed were on the panel (LOL) - even so, it was great to see you show step by step.

This was the best and most correct tutorial. All the other KZfaqrs are idiots 😂 They totally leave this part out. Had me outside freezing. Even Chamberlains own instructions from their website does not cover it. Thanks !!

Literally thanking the Lord for you and this video! You just save me a major meltdown on my new house that So many things are so high-tech that it's way over my head (like google nest thermostat off line from previous owner and won't work for us! blinking light sensors that I have no idea how to set up, Smart House features that make me feel dumb) But this one was simple with your instructions. Oh dude your video is the one that finally helped me get it! First of all, directions on my keypad are similar except they leave out the lines about number of Enter clicks depending on color (my Learn is Orange) my keypad just said hit Enter and then hit and hold Enter if light doesnt flash So i watched some vids and all they said was hit Learn then put in new code then hit Enter. Never mentioned the hold Star and Pound buttons to start with. And when i followed those vids it didnt set a code So after your vid and did it just like keypad instructions said and held * and # then hit Learn on opener then hit Enter 3 times since its Orange and then that finally got light to flash and now it works (Reason it got messed up in the first place is cuz last week after walking dog, she was tugging on leash as i was putting code in and i either changed code or reset code)

Thanks again. TO OTHERS HERE IS AN FYI - if your color light is not solid before you start it will not work. I tried it many times and until I pressed that button and saw a solid light it didn’t work for me. I guess it’s because I tried something else before it disrupted the entire programming that was in place. 🙏🏽❤️

I’m trying to install my new Chamberlain keypad and have followed the instructions from the manual (same as what you’ve instructed) but I don’t get the blinking lights or hear a clicking sound from the garage door opener. I changed the batteries on the keypad, tried unplugging and plugging back in the garage door opener but nothing seems to be working. Tried at least 10 times. We have the garage door programmed to our cars for remoteless opening and it works fine. Any suggestions? I’ve tried it on two new Chamberlain keypads and still nothing.
