In order for it to function after you reset it, you *NEED* the password to the iCloud account linked to the iPod. If you don't have it, the iPod is useless beyond that point. I have shown you how to reset it, *not to bypass the activation lock.*

Mine was stuck on Activation Lock. I followed the directions and now iTunes says it's in recovery mode, but I don't see it doing anything. My phone still has the iTunes symbol and cord symbol on it...hoping it will work.

Omg i been searching everywhere on the Internet for help, on the Apple website…everywhere!!!!! Finally something that helped me… my 3 year old daughter locked my iPod a year ago, it wasn’t connected to the wifi and it wasn’t being identified by iTunes!!! It is currently downloading the software which says it’s gonna take 27 hours but it is time for me to go to sleep. I feel like it’s Christmas Eve, eager for tomorrow ❤️thanks Update: ok so I woke up and it said the exact same thing “iPod disabled connect to iTunes.” The software did download on the computer though. So I repeated the process and it looks like the iPod is responding to the update! We will see 🤞

Then I watched your video. Even though I wasn't at home with my computer, I thought I would try it anyway...what's the harm, right? So I held the home button (1, 2, 3 count) and plugged it in...and it came on!! All of my music was still there!! Thanks again!!

Followed your instructions, however, when I select restore ipod, next restore and update I receive a pop-up stating ipod was previously in DFU but is no longer in DFU mode. So disconnect and place ipod back into DFU mode. Not sure what DFU mode is or how to get to it. Please advise. Thank you.

This didnt work for it said iTunes could not connect to the iPod Touch because it is locked with a passcode. You much enter your passcode on the ipod touch before it can be used with iTunes. Do you have any advice?
