How to resize SVG Baseball Hat Gift Box in Design Space

This is a quick tutorial on how to resize my Baseball Hatbox. The video of me assembling the video will follow. If you can't wait please check out the assembly video on SVG Cuts website.
I am in love with this project. I think this is the 3rd best thing I have ever created. This uses 80lb paper cardstock I would have preferred the 100lbs paper.

Are you only resizing the largest piece or the others as well? If so do you have the measurements or will the original measurements work

You have to resize everything together. I don't have the measurements. The original will work but it will be much smaller

Also when scoring do you gave to use the scoring tool or will the machine score with the fine pint blade?

The machine can score with the blade but you have to choose that option in the pattern when you upload. It will make a ton of dashed cuts

Hello, when you use this method for the measurements then UnGroup shouldn't the measurements of the center of hat with the score lines all be the same size?

So I hit attach but it’s still cutting each triangle separately and off of the entire image of part of the hat.

You need to change the lines to score not cut.

Gurrrl you know I thought about it and yes but it's a lot of work. You basically gotta get an svg of it and remove the background then print it on gold cardstock the cut out the circle.

Hi. Loving your videos. I have been trying to make this baseball cap the same size you are making but every time I go to attach and make it my Cricut cuts it off instead of scoring my pieces 🤦🏻‍♀️ MY knob is on card stock. Do you know what I’m doing wrong? TIA

Make sure to change your cut lines to score lines when attaching.

Unfortunately not but if you purchase the pattern it will tell you the size of the original I have several videos showing how to resize this cap but none of the dimensions are shared.

nevermind I figured it out! lol I had to click on those lines and in the drop down at the top that says "cut" I had to change it to score for those lines THEN attach.

It depends on which one you chose. There is one where you only use the blade.

Hello. I have the template but they are grouped instead of individual pieces and the option to ungroup them in design space is not there when I click it. How did you get them in individual images.

Yes, but when I ungroup, the only thing that ungroups is the score lines.

See if you can look in the folder and import them ungrounded. Or you will have to use the contour feature.

Honestly you don't have to have the cricut to do this. You can have a different machine like a shilloutte but my preference for machine is the maker. But the explorer air series can do this too.

I purchased card stock paper from Walmart 8.5x11. Would that work for hat?...I was thinking it wouldn't...I wanted a bigger hat.

You can size the image so that the largest piece fits on a 8.5x11 sheet of paper but the box will not be as large as mine.

Nope. I ungrounded them then select them all and make sure the largest section does not exceed 11.5

I just show how to enlarge it as a whole. For the original pattern SVG cuts has the sizes listed but they are not for the enlarged size.

someone else had the same problem. Depending on which file you grabbed it might be different. You can duplicate it and contour its more work but it will work

You have to set that section to score.

@@classywithjazzie6994 before you attach the lines to the shape click on where it says “cut” a drop down menu should appear and there should be a “score” option you have to change this before you attach it or else it won’t allow you to afterwards. I hope that helps! :)
