Tools and products which one I use everyday (links are bellow)
For sanding I'm always using Festool Rotax RO 150

..i think all the methods are great, the vinegar and coke are the easiest, what's a few days wait, considering how old the ax heads are..good vid. very informative..thanks

I like that you said it depends on what type of axe head for which type of rust removal process, and what the outcome will be. Doesn’t make sense to do electrolysis if it’s not a very historic piece and is just going to be mirror polished afterward, just sand that sucker down.

I don't have your talent or tools , but what little I have done was with vinegar , wire brushes and sand paper . I have used machine oil , silicone spray , and clear shellac for the preserving . I do want to buy a belt sander , it does a lot of work quicker than the orbital sander . Great video as Always !!!!!!!!

Great video Andre . I have never used the salt water bath with electricity . Have used the sodium bicarbonate / baking soda ... and will have to give your method a try . Have never seen Coca Cola used . Thanks again for another very interesting video !

Yes - phosphoric acid - muriatic acid / hydrochloric acid can be neutralized with common baking soda . I have an old hatchet head a friend gave me and will try your salt bath method with a battery charger . Once again Andre -> Thanks Bro .

My grandpa was tearing down an old building a long time ago and found a sword. We researched it and it's from WW2 but it's really messed up and rusty. I wonder if it could be restored...?

Quick Question: If you had a high-pressure diesel gurney, would that also work to remove rust on large items like cars? I would think it works similar to sand-blasting. Pls Respond. Thx.
