It's funny that Nintendo is today, and for quite some time now, known for their "it's not about how powerful your console is, it's how you use it" attitude. In other words, they don't try to compete on who has the most powerful console, but on which console has the most entertaining family-friendly games. This notion is so strong that many people think that Nintendo has always been like that. In other words, content over hardware prowess. But that's not true. All the way up to the N64 and even the GameCube, Nintendo was promoting their consoles as "the most powerful" ones on the market, trying to sell them by how much faster and powerful they are compared to the competition. It wasn't until the Wii that they started trying to sell based on content rather than hardware specs.
