In this tutorial, you'll learn how to limit editing power for collaborators on Google Docs. If you're collaborating with people you don't trust to make proper edits or use Suggestion mode, it's important to retain total editing control. Fortunately, you can manage permissions to restrict editing access for other users.
To get started, open your Google Doc and click on the blue Share button at the top of the screen. Next, under "Get link," click the Change button. Then, click on the button located at the far right of the "Anyone with the link" tab, and select "Commenter" from the dropdown menu. This will ensure that anyone you share the document with can only edit in Suggestion mode, allowing you to retain control over the final document.
By following these simple steps, you can feel more secure in your collaboration efforts and ensure that your Google Docs remain protected from unauthorized edits or changes.
