Thank you, crazy skills you have. You make it look so easy, I'm sure it will take more than 15 minutes for me to staple it down and get the corners right!😂

Wow, the best video I have watched(and I have viewed many) on reupholstering a chair seat. The visuals, and audio are perfect. Your knowledge, and expertise attest to the fact that you are truly a Master Upholsterer! I'm redoing just one chair. But, I was really struggling with the corners on the chair seat. After watching this I realized it was about so much more than the corners. Now I feel confident in getting the job done. Thank you for taking the time to share your expert advice.

Thanks for the video! It really helped us figure out how to do the job without much hassle. The corners were really tough because our fabric was pretty thick. With practice and patience, the job is halfway done. I'll have the other 3 chairs done before dinner on Saturday! thanks again Barry!

There was no mention of how much profanity I would need while using a staple gun, but... you did warn me generally. I did a trial run with the old fabric and feel a lot more confident, but now I'm investing in some kind of pneumatic nail gun that doesn't require me sweating, grimacing, and cursing as if I were giving birth. Thanks for the great instruction!

My hubby and I covered our dining chair seats, only 2, without taking off the old stuff. We never did it before, and used an upholstery vinyl we bought at JoAnn’s. It probably would have gone much better to take it all off before putting on the new stuff, but we’ll know better next time. 🥴 That being said it looks pretty good! But we’ll do it right next time.

Great video. Our problem is removing the seat. There are no screws in the corner blocks or any where on the perimeter after we remove the dust cover There is webbing that appears to be glued to the top of the frame Our cushions are very good but the fabric is stained and we want to change it but removing the seat is puzzling and before I go further I wanted to inquire

Question......I have seats just like yours and they are covered in leather, which is in great condition. I just want to change the color. I have bought a faux leather product. Can I upholster over the leather or should I remove it? I'm thinking it would be extra padding plus there are dozens and dozens of staples in the chairs now. Thank you!

Darn it. I was looking up videos for corner tips as I am that far but my foam, repuposed from other chair cushions doesn't have the poly batting, just a thin fabric layer. What is the negative from not having the poly batting around the foam?
@edwardmedina1236
@edwardmedina1236 8 жыл бұрын
+Justin Shiffler - Justin I know this was two weeks ago so you may not need the information now. The batting just gives it a better finished look and feel. It all depends on the chair and what you are trying to do (and the foam, the type of fabric being used, etc). However, what the batting does is soften the lines and round out the top of the cushions in a smoother fashion (especially with thin fabric) and provide a small soft barrier between the person and the cushion.
@jennhoff03
@jennhoff03 6 жыл бұрын
It shows every little lump and bump and irregularity without the batting. The batting will just make sure it looks a little smoother and better finished. :)
