I've tryed clamping it down first and found it impossible to get the wrinkles out. I'm gonna try this strategy next.

Easier and fits better when sew the return sections like the original so doesn’t pull up the edges. Just unpick it, use the old one as a template to cut out of new material (I changed mine to red leather)

Was the 10mm staple poking you while you are riding. On other people's videos they recommend it 8 mm

Kevin Tran no it just early makes its way into the foam and you will never notice anything, but if you want to be safe, 8 will be fine

Picked up two 2007 R1s and the seats were awful. They were the early 2000's graphic seats with the big R1 logo on it and they were yellowed to shit

@@darksorceresszyra9467 I ended up getting a saddleman for my 07 that I still have and for my old 08 I used vinyl and stapled it as you do. I heavily recommend the saddleman even though its pricey

dont use staples please, the guy who owned my bike previously must have watched this video because this is how my seats look. the staples go through the plastic and can slice you up
