this is a perfect way of someone stealing your space. you can actually use the other method. align your side mirror to the line/side mirror of the car beside the space, then steer the wheel to the opposite direction then move forward to that direction. once you can see the line in the free parking slot, steer the wheel to the side where you want to park then reverse. in this way, the car behind you will know that you will take the spot

Just wanted to say thanks for videos like these. They have been of great help given that I haven't had a lesson with an instructor in many years. I binge watched everything you had😂 Ended up doing my test all the way down in Albany just before Christmas and only dropped a couple marks for minor mistakes.

Hello, I am based in NSW, and the driving test over there only assess the kerbside stop reverse parrellel parking/3point turn. Just a few questions that I need to ask: 1- Will I able to full lock the steering wheel quickly when doing reverse parking or just in a slow pace, or just like the one shown in the video, where you did pull push? 2- Even though there is a concrete pole in the carpark, if the sensor indicates that its too close to the rear, then do I need to adjust my position? 3- Would it be difficult to reverse when a car next to me did not park straight enough? Anyways the thing is sometimes when reverse to the lot, I did not either park in straight position with the tyre touching the line or even park too close to the car next to me, tried and parked in a straight line successfully after multiple manoeuvres/steering, I usually do hand over hand method but I don't know how fast am I able to steer lock the wheel.

Please can you make a video about turning left or right with long vehicles ( bus or truck) because sometimes they use our lines to turn... and when do we have not to overtaking them? ...thanks in advance

We need to allow heavy vehicles to turn by waiting for a few seconds sometimes. There will never be an identical situation, so you must treat every one of those situations individually. I will incorporate this topic in one of the upcoming videos about turning and vehicle management. Thank you for your suggestion.

Hi I just have a question, if there is a car stop behind us when we prepare to reverse, should we wait them to move around us first? Can we reverse if they are kind to wait us?

It's best to see if they want to overtake you and let them go first, but if the driver is gesturing to you to proceed first you can do that as well. If you proceed before them , still make sure you keep an eye on them

Hi Paris. Carparks are private property, so main roads don't make rules there. It's best to keep it around 10 km per hour. Sometimes a little higher, but it's always best to drive to the conditions

How many non critical errors are you allowed to have in order to not fail in WA?

It depends! For example, if you lose too many points for signalling, you would fail the entire test for inadequate signalling, but if you lose a couple for signalling and maybe 3 for path and one for vehicle management, you can still pass. I suggest you watch every point as if it's a critical one.

Thanks for this easy to follow and consistent method. Passed my test at Joondalup first try today using this technique. Even if the measurements aren't spot on, it is easy to make corrections using the side mirrors.
