I had no idea that everyone glueing wigs down was simply for day use and they took them off at night. I thought I just sucked at wearing wigs and couldn't maintain them so I refuse to sleep in them. Thanks for the simple, informative video!
@xrynii
@xrynii 2 жыл бұрын
lol some of us do wear them at night, but it’s not you, it’s the glue. glues like bold hold and ghost bond work best to wear for days-weeks at a time. as long as you tie the lace with a scarf you’ll be fine

You are supposed to take off your wig every night to let your scalp breathe. It's also bad for the wig to sleep in it. It will damage it.

My question is how long did it take to tangle at the ends after going out and sweating a bit?
@beautywithbre5531
@beautywithbre5531 2 жыл бұрын
Depends on what brand you have. I've had a straight wig that was matted and tangled within a few days and i took it off at night. I have also had a straight wig I took off at night and wore it almost everyday for 2 minths and it just started doing it ( this brand is sensational their butter lace edition)

@MoreMaddie 3 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question I haven’t tried on a curly wig yet!
@BeautiFuFu
@BeautiFuFu 3 жыл бұрын
No probably not. The hot water works as a “relaxer” for the synthetic hair, so the texture will most likely be lost. You could braid the hair our use flexirods/ rollers to try and keep the curls. The hot water will set the curl if the hair is molded that way.

You can put boiling water on any wig?
@balljointed
@balljointed 2 жыл бұрын
i'd probably suggest using the boiling water method ONLY on purely heat-resistant synthetic fiber wigs; synthetics need that intense heat in order to open up their follicles & dislodge any old product + natural grime, whereas human hair starts opening its follicles up at a much milder temperature! if you have any mix material wigs that can take heat, just adjust the temperature & fabric softener accordingly with how much synthetic:human hair there is! sorry for the long answer, lololol
