So Ms. Blockhead's been YouTubing 'How to Ride a Motorcycle' and hasn't been able to find a vid that 'thoroughly' goes over a few of the things she's trying to learn. Watching through a few with her, there's some stuff that's left out here n' there, so I told her that I'd make one for her and try to be thorough!
Alas, the Blockhead "How To Ride A Motorcycle" series was born!* In Part 02, we go over using the clutch, learning the friction zone, applying brakes, and a brief introduction to shifting. The next episode will cover shifting into higher gears. I bring along my trusty MSF Rider Handbook for some guidance, but kinda 'cliffs notes' it up.
The vids might seem a bit lengthy, but I know that's how I learn best, so maybe there's some of you out there that are the same (I'd be willing to bet there are!)
As an NRA certified firearms instructor, I've instructed and taught students before, so I hope that comes across in the vid (fingers crossed!) However, I never have nor will I claim to be a 'motorcycle instructor.' When it comes to motorcycles, I'm just a guy that enjoys to ride.
Hope the videos help! As always, thanks for watching, ride safe out there, and stay vigilant!

I guess is because of your experience as a instructor that makes us feel so freaking comfortable and interested in learning this; this is a great learning video especially for us that have no experience in bikes. I didn’t get the soft tail, I got myself a 2016 Fatboy S and I FREAKING LOVE IT!!! Even though it was "used" it wasn’t... allow me to explain 😎😎😎 It belonged to a doctor who bought it just to have her sitting down in his garage, turned the engine on on sundays just to go around the block for three years, got her with only 267 miles... 😍😍😍😎 isn’t that cool?! Man I’m so excited!! again thanks for the videos and be safe out there
