Hey guys, hope you all have been doing good. I have been Crayfish hunting and uploaded a few shorts on Tiktok. Check it out! (Link below) Kob caught in this video was at Strand Reefs, Cape Town, South Africa. Bait used was Chokka/Squid. This will be my last upload for the year, hope you guys enjoy it. Jy het letterlik al my favorite knoope gebruik! Ek het nou die dag een van jou videos gekyk hoe jy Hotties vang, ek sukkel verskriklik met hulle, het die naweek seker 50 mud prawns gebruik en kon net een hook... Vang van n hawe muur af. Wou jou vrae wanneer weet jy om te pull? Ek katrol stadig in terwyl hulle byt tot hulle dit vasvat en try hol met dit maar hulle kom dan los as ek ruk, het n 2/0 circle hoek gebruik. Watse metode werk die beste??

Hi Marius, dankie vir die ondersteuning. Die beste is n 1/0 circle hoek, mud prawns eet hulle vinnig af, ek gebruik wit mossel, dit werk beter. Wag maar tot hulle lekker hard Kap, soms is dit maar die kleintjies wat die aas af eet maar die grotes is daar. 🎣🎣🤙🏻

Depends where you want to fish, if you fish on the reefs you will need to go 3 hours before low tide. From the shore usually 3 hours before high tide. Check your tides here www.kwathabeng.co.za/tides/Strand-tides.html#gsc.tab=0

I got a Fun Tackle Carp Spirit 6000 4 ball bearings will It work on reef fishing and how much pound line can I use?

@@dvviprasta5336 depends on what you are targeting but it should be fine to use for reef fishing although bearings do tend to seize after a couple of sessions. Check out the line that I use in the video, demonstrating the rig🎣🎣

🎣 You did not tie the figure eight knot correctly,!... Before you pull the knot together, arrange the figure eight shape on line! That's what the knot's name is! I hold the loops in between my thumb and index finger, it's easier for me. I always moisten knots before pulling tight. As I slide the knot formation together against ring, the coils form neatly next to each other, that's important as coils together in any knots, support each other in knot formation strength! I tie fig8 knot to join lines and to tie line onto any spool. On a wider spool like an Alvey side cast reel, I move the knot from side to side as I tighten knot formation down. This prevents knot from popping off, as I found from experience! With thinner lines, I double line, then tie fig8 knot. Also for joining lines. It is a little more attention in a forming the loops together, but gets better with practice! The uniknot, starts different to fig8 knot, but the same knot formation is on line before pulling tight and the coils are neatly next to each other! Any knots not tied properly are dodgy to me and need to be done again! 🎣

🎣 I turn the line around any spool three times before tying my knot, - the line will not slip at all! It is simple and effective to do, but I see many examples that haven't done that! They have tied dodgy knots on their spools! Also, I have replaced too thin a line on cheaper new reels and on older reels that have dodgy knots tied on to spools! One famous USA bass angler showed how he tied a main line onto a reel's spool, - with a dodgy knot, as can be clearly seen! Another USA mainly fw fishing couple shows the husband tying a dodgy knot on a spool! One can think that they should know better! Crazy amazing to me! 🙂🎣 🐠🐟🐟🐠 🎣🙂
