How to roast seasoned chickpeas in an air fryer

3 жыл бұрынRoasted chickpeas (garbanzo beans) are delicious and healthy as a snack. These could easily become my favorite snack. I especially enjoy the satisfying crunch. You can season them almost any way you like. Some people use a sweet coating, which I haven't tried yet but certainly seems worth trying. I use my air fryer, which is simply a counter top convection oven. You could roast these in a conventional oven.

So true. On Amazon roasted chickpeas cost around 50¢ per once. I can buy a 1-pound bag of dry chickpeas at Target for 99¢. -Dennis

Hi Dennis, Sorry about the peas, but you got what you like, great. Hope you are well, we love the garbanzo beans chick beans. I usually put them in my minestrone. I’ve heard of baking them in the oven, but I’d like to try the air fryer., so thank you for this snack idea. Heard the crunch. Yum❤️❤️👍👍👍

That's worth keeping in mind because I want to use some of the garbanzo beans in soup, like grinding them up in split pea soup when I puree it. Thanks for the tip. -Dennis

I’ve just came across your videos. Love them. The first one I watched was your DOUGHBOYS video. We would have a fish fry and my Mom would deep-fry biscuits in the grease after the fish was done. Oh, so good.

That looks like a very nice snack Dennis. I've actually never had roasted seasoned chick peas. I do have an air fryer so I do plan to try this out.

What a great idea. I've never had them this way but think I'll give it a go. If you do a sweet version try soaking them along with the peel of a large orange.

Those looked like such high quality beans. We are getting a foot of snow outside this weekend and I think I'm going to try this recipe with some Tony Chachere's creole seasoning to warm me up.:) BTW that's the most salt I've ever seen you use. ;)

Thanks Richard. Yeah, I'm a low-salt sort of guy, but I do like a little more salt on my snacks. "A foot of snow." It brings back memories of my days living in Connecticut. I don't miss it. Enjoy your seasoned chickpeas. -Dennis
