Not all of the elves lived in Quel'Thalas and many of them were all over the kingdom so the ones that stayed there, mostly remained as high elves and not much changed for them.

Arranged* (dam corrector) xD I mean to tell the story from the very beginning, I realy like your lore series about an race or character, but I never played WOW (had played just Warcraft 3 and Frozen Throne), however I find the lore amazing. It would be nice to have a overlook from the big events in a chronological perspective. You could leave links from previous series then you would not need to enter any specific or complicated detail about a character or race. That's why I said it was a huge request. Cheers!

I do occasionally role as a blood elf warrior and my warrior couldn't really "fight together with the light". She is pretty much like the black sheep in her family because could for some reason not use magic in the same way as the rest of the blood elf population. Just like a simple human who wanted to fight for her land and family with no real special "abilities". So basically, if you're going to roll a belf warrior, that belf was perhaps supposed to be a paladin. It could also be a former blood knight who, after all these years, could no longer use whatever magic the rest of the blood knights are using.

Kat`ranis Remar As far as I know the blood elves joined the Horde bacause they needed help, and they could not turn to the Alliance, because in the end of the Third War Kael'thas allied himself and his people with the naga (though only because they needed some support against the Scourge), and Grand Marshal Garithos sentenced all the blood elves to death because of this (he said that the Naga are "inhuman, so they cannot be trusted"). Therefore Kael'thas had to escape with his people before their certain death, and the Naga leader, Lady Vashj helped them in this attempt. She convinced them to join her by mentioning their common ancestry as former night elves. After their escape Kael'thas and his forces allied themselves with Illidan Stormrage, who taught them the ways how to syphon fel energies from demons to feed their addiction to magic. Because of these the Alliance doesn't trust them at all, and the blood elves' arrogance doesn't let them to try rejoin their forces with their former allies. So they needed allies. They had to turn to the Banshee Queen, Sylvanas Windrunner and her Forsaken undead and their acceptance into the Horde was mainly thanks to her, because she still cares for her former people even in undeath (note that there are undead elves in the ranks of the Forsaken). Because of these I think that the lore fits well in this part. They just needed allies and found them only in the Horde. Under the wise leadership of Warchief Thrall they were accepted into the Horde with open arms because he threats each races as equals (he had some mistrust only in the Forsaken thanks to the undeath they are cursed with, and first time he thought they could be dangerous). After solving a lot of their problems they found the peoples of the Horde honorable allies and (as you said) they have done everything they could to serve its causes. Generally the Horde looks like savage people's society. It's not true. They are as much honorable as the people of the Alliance. The New Horde is based on outcasts who had to find their place in the world. The blood elves in this way are outcasts, betrayed by their own leader (Kael'thas), thin in numbers and they could't found their place in the world. The Horde gives them savety and they pledged their loyalty to them. The Blood Elves totally fit in the Horde. They have less common features with the Orcs, Tauren and Trolls, but all of these races needed help and the Orcish Horde gave it to them at the time of the Third War. These people joined together to fight back their enemies and oppressors, like the Tauren needed help against the centaur as well as the trolls against the mysterious Sea Witch and her murloc forces, just like the Forsaken against the remnants of the old Alliance as well as the Scourge. Thrall allied the Orcish Horde with them because of empathy and he helped these races in their fights. The Blood Elves have a rightful place among the New Horde. Plz tell me I'm wrong:)

Kolbe Andris yes you are right about that i said that they dont fit when you see them at first not that they dont fit entirely with the horde and you are right that the horde looks like a barbaric faction at first but that they are honorable just as alliance and you are pretty much right about everything you said ,the blood elves did join thanks to the forsaken but later on they started truly helping the horde and trying to earn the warchiefs trust.although sunreavers made a great mistake with helping garrosh.Forsaken also help the horde but they kind of use it as a means to an end they dont exactly care sylvanas does care about the blood elves but not about the other races,while blood elves are trying to be helpful and earn the warchiefs trust because not many races of the horde(and pretty much every other raceXD)trusted them cuz the bad reputation kael gave them by siding with illidan and later with the burning legion.I tried rping a high elf but in the end it didnt work out that well doron is right that it cant be good cuz your hostille towards the alliance and friendly towards the horde.Ty for correcting me:D

Eirigwyn jones high elves and blood elves are almost the same, there is only one obvious difference and that is the eye color. green for belf(fel), blue for helf (arcane). if your character did not feed on fel magic after the sunwell was destroyed you can just go ahead and roleplay that

Teglariu Adelina no they couldn’t. Since she is a HIGH elf who are always with blue eyes they so decided to make her eyes blue to so she wouldn’t be mistaken as a BLOOD elf.

They are plausible in small numbers. You see, most of Blood or more like High Elf military forces were split into two parts before the destruction of sunwell: The Rangers and Spell Breakers. Now here comes the issue of A.) Spell Breaker not being a playable class ingame and B.) Sunwell getting destroyed by Arthas. With the enslavement of the M'uru by Kael'thas and creation of the blood knights, another military wing of Blood Elfs was created along with the aforementioned Rangers/Farstriders and Spell Breakers, and also one that is playable. This leads to: Blood Knight = Paladin Ranger/Farstrider = Rogue, Hunter and ? Spell Breaker = ?? Looking at Lorthemar Theron, he was/is the Ranger-General of Silvermoon , yet ingame he has (mostly) plate armor, twohanded blade and fights with sword and shield, a fighting style not typical for hunters or rogues. Therefor you can draw inspiration from him and consider Blood Elf Warriors essentially a form of Rangers, specializing in melee combat and heavier armor, which is quite plausible if you ask me. But why did I say only in small numbers? Because both Blood Knights (Paladins) and Spell Breakers remain the bulk of Blood Elf frontline soldiers. Also if you go as far into RP and have concerns with rage as warrior resource, im pretty sure Blood Elves can get pretty furious considering what happened to their homeland. The second way you could do this, is by essentially considering your blood elf warrior a spell breaker, which is doable, to a degree. Pummel, Glyph of Gag Order, Spell Reflect and Arcane Torrent all are abilities that are designed to deal with casters, essentially what Spell Breakers specialize in. And final thing to note is that there are actual BE Warrior NPCs aside from Lorthemar, mainly few of Kael'Thas's Lieutenants, so you could draw inspiration from the in some way. Honesly, when I was making my BE Warrior I went with the first case or him being esentially a Silvermoon Ranger with special combat training or whatever.

DrumsandOther Actually, in Warcraft III blood and high elves had a unit called "Swordsman". It was the same as the Human unit "Footman", with a different model (first time used for the "Captain" unit, and then the "Swordsman", only available in the Human Campaigns). It had no special abilities only "Defend", which slowed their movement speed in change to take lesser damage from piercing attacks, like arrows, spears, etc. So these units could be the warriors, though they were a base unit first available for the blood elves in their campaign in "The Frozen Throne". They were very small in numbers though. Because of these, in a magic-user society, like the Blood Elves they are not so common. Mind that in Warcraft III high/blood elf units mostly used magic. But there is something strange to me: the elf unit "Archer" (which was the similar to the same named night elven unit) didn't use magic either. Only the bow-user hero unit, the "Ranger" used magic (it was the similar hero unit as the night elf "Priestess of the Moon", with the exception that the "Searing Arrows", was replaced by "Frost Arrows"). This was the hero unit to describe Sylvanas Windrunner, when she was alive. Long story short, no elf archers, who can be the same like the Farsriders or the Ranger Corps of Silvermoon used magic in WC III, therefore there are a lot of elves who don't use magic. They could be the warriors in World of Warcraft. Therefore, why didn't we get the warrior class only with the Cataclysm? OK, their society is centered about magic, but what about those who don't use it? They just sitting around waiting for a better life?:D I don't think so... So, I don't think that the warrior is a bad choice to be played for those who like blood elves. I think that it was the time for blood elves to become warriors. It HAD to be playable when they got implented into the game in "The Burning Crusade". At that time I couldn't believe why there are no blood elf warriors? In wowpedia.org Lor'Themar Theron is described as a warrior. What the hell? Warrior is a prestige class for them? Please...:D You know what? A long time ago I saw a picture of a blood elf druid and I totally fell in love with it :D It could be better if we had Blood Elf warriors since the beginning and then get the Druid in "Cataclysm":D Really, if there could be blood elf druids I would totally play with it!! xD Lynxes and bears with golden fur? That could be awesome! OK, I know, there is no reason for blood elf druids. They are close to nature, but I think the art of druidism is some kind of "hated" way, because the Archdruid, Malfurion Stormrage was the one in the first place who banished them from the night elven society because the using of Arcane magic.
