Hey everyone welcome back! This week I am teaching you one of my favourite flourishes known as the coin roll. I've broken this move down into three simple steps so you can learn it as fast as possible. The coin roll is a really fun move, that doesn't really have any purpose apart from the fact it allows you to show off :) Enjoy x

Thank you so much! My ELA class is currently reading a book and in the story there is a guy who rolled a coin like that. Long story short, my teacher said if we can learn that we can recive extra credit. So here I am, 11:34 p.m on a school night trying to learn how to do this. I just need to practice now, tysm again

Thanks for the excellent tutorial! I’ve always wanted to learn how to do a coin finger roll, and this video popped up on my feed, and you inspired me to follow along and start (I’m currently still slow and ungraceful, but getting the clipping down). However, as an American with rather slender fingers in hands that aren’t particularly large, quarters and nickels are too small to begin with. I tried several, and unless a learner has hands that are fairly small, I think a dollar coin, either a Susan B Anthony dollar (slightly larger diameter than a quarter with more heft) or a Sacajawea dollar (slightly larger diameter than the SBAD), is a better starting coin (The problem is that they have very low circulation, so one might have to go to a bank to buy them).

Thank's for the video, great tutorial, for a new level of difficultness try to do the coin roll in the opposite direction, so actually start at the pinky, and move tourist the index finger, or even try to do the coin roll with the left hand, for a new level of difficultness

I just curious can you do this trick with left hand too? And do you suggest practice with other hand too or one hand is enough? I dont know this trick seems just cool but I think is really good basic mechanic control the coin with your fingers I think help the learn other coin tricks easily. I learned the coin roll move the hard way. We had a south african magician Wolfgang Rabie dude wit long ponytail and he did the coin roll . So what i used to do back then is record the magicians whole show on vhs tape casettes and would rewind and play and pause to try and see how it works. Thats how i started with the coin role.

Holy shit!!! I rolled it all the way and stopped it with my pinkie and slowly reset to the starting position. It was slow, but i got it to where i can get it to land on my ring finger easily and perfectly flat but I'm struggling with he pinkie thumb transfer but at 30 seconds in, I couldn't do anything and I just finished the video and typed this out. What an awesome teacher!! I'm not quite to mindless practice but I feel freaking awesome cause I'll have this thing down in a week, not fast as this video, but fast enough to look cool at a party... lol. Do you have any videos showing how Patrick Jane does his card, coin, sleight of hand stuff from the show The Mentalist. If he pockets something or places something in someone else's pocket, or does some other kinda mind reading trick, it's always shown in the show, but when we does card tricks, he never explains them and the only thing that makes sense is that he wears a magicians vest with his suit and has 52 pockets and always keeps each card from a second deck in each pocket and memorize where they're all at and preps himself like that before he how goes out everyday

when I was a teenager I used to do this across both hands and pass it under my little fingers on both hands :) a certain currency and a certain size works best! UK 2 pence piece or 50 pence piece
