How to Run C++ in Visual Studio Code on MacBook M1 Air/Pro 2022

In this video i discussed about how you can run c/c++ code on vs code . As this is very lightweight so i like to code in this code editor. For mac it is now very easy to run code. Just follow this video and you will be okey.
Note: if any error occur then let me know in the comment and i will try to give you a solution.

Im not able to initialize the vector directly. It shows me the following error. error: non-aggregate type 'vector' cannot be initialized with an initializer list vector myVector = {1,2,3,4,5}; ^ ~~~~~~~~~~~ 1 error generated. What could be the possible reason? I searched on internet, it appears that the error occurs due to old version of c++, which is not in my case as I just made a fresh install of clang.

why do we need those things, I didn’t understand. I am only clicking on run&debug button on top right and don’t see output. Why do I need code runner etc. isn’t it vscode’s job?

Technically VS code is not an IDE(Integrated Devolopment Environment). It’s more like a code editor. So to enable or make like an ide you need some extension that will do your works. Code runner is also an extension to run your c/c++ code. And if the run button don’t work try first saving your file or follow the videos interaction. And feel free to ask question.

No. But I have command line tools for xcode.That's helps you to run c/c++ without installing Xcode IDE.

Go to extension option then search for it. You will find it in settings after installing it from extension.
